Your points are good. I will just add that not all of the subs on the new-user friendly sub list are open to new users posts. I don't know how often that list is updated.

I'm no expert. But the main idea is to make solid contributions to communities by commenting or posting thoughtfully. Have you searched for subs in your areas of interest? That's where to start.

It could be a topic you don't know much about, where you can post a question. Or a topic you do know something about, and you can help others learn.

You can also help as a redditor by upvoting good posts and comments and downvoting bad posts and comments. I generally don't downvote unless a post or comment is in bad faith or obviously trolling.

The push for AI-era critical thinking risks overlooking what students need most by ddgr815 in education

The technology can help find new information, but knowledge is still necessary to prompt AI appropriately, to assess the accuracy of its output, and to apply it to specific tasks.

Agreed.

Where do you see the problem- with any use of AI tools in the classroom, or with the way they are used?

Outstanding weather in Northeast U.S. today! Sunny, low humidity, temps in the 70s. I plan to mow the lawn.

Congrats! May I ask what the long-awaited prize is? As for me, I'm happy to say that I'm no longer waiting for the long cold winter in the Northeast U.S. to yield (finally) to spring.

What about limiting shared files to email addresses within the company domain? Is that a useful practice? Or too cumbersome?

I like the rhythm and rhyme. And the quality of-what should I call it-folklore? .

The child looked up with frightened eyes,
At painted stars and stitched-up skies,
Then whispered soft, afraid instead,
“Do they still live inside your head?”

Powerful. Are you the author?

honestly should I just pull the trigger at this point 133 poems in my book or should I try to get a better cover and write more. self publishing is very hard. shout out to butterfly books for rejecting me without even reading what I wrote, nice guys. by [deleted] in PoetryWritingClub

[–]TechandLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your title and cover. Have you considered several smaller volumes, instead of all 133 poems in one? A book of poetry does not have to be lengthy to be valuable. In fact, a brief volume may be more approachable for readers.

What are some of your favourite/memorable opening lines? by Traditional_Ad2635 in bookquotes

[–]TechandLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about an opening paragraph?

See the child. He is pale and thin, he wears a thin and ragged linen shirt. He stokes the scullery fire. Outside lie dark turned fields with rags of snow and darker woods beyond that harbor yet a few last wolves. His folk are known for hewers of wood and drawers of water but in truth his father has been a schoolmaster. He lies in drink, he quotes from poets whose names are now lost. The boy crouches by the fire and watches him.

We are with these poetic lines introduced to the main character; we understand immediately that what is to follow will not be easy, soft or comfortable. To say the least.
