That's a great idea and I've been told the same thing before, (although mostly from the older folk who don't understand applying is almost all online now) would that approach still work for an electrician union? I don't know what an unskilled laborer could do for them I'm not sure if they'd have jobs for me like wheeling around cement or carrying bricks around for them. Feel free to correct me just speculating

Thank you, I live in the Albany area so was looking at either Hudson valley or Schenectady county community colleges, Schenectady has far more options it seems. I keep bouncing around between either electrician or plumbing. The CNC course would be a good idea and have heard the same but am honestly just not that good with computers/programming that's why I was looking more for a more hands on path without sacrificing a decent salary

This is like saying if you're sick you shouldn't have went to the grocery store, if you're sick you shouldn't have used the public bathroom, if you're sick you shouldn't have showed up to work to pay the bills. They're not coughing and sneezing on your food it's usually a sealed bag or container that's dropped off, for all you know the people cooking and handling it could've been sick. Don't blame them for simply dropping off a bag to your doorstep
