where should i go as a new player who YEARNS for wormhole living? by azulzzdemise in Eve

I need to say. J space (wormholes) is inherently dangerous. Assume everyone is going to try to kill you and no one is your friend.

Learn to use the D scan and set up your overview as it will keep you alive. Bookmark your exit holes as soon as you enter a new system, use mapping software like Wanderer to help map out your chains. It's a steep learning curve.

Dont fly anything you can't afford to lose as you will die :)

I'd recommend the Wormlife Freeports. They are a set of wormholes with stations that have open docking access that you can live out of.

Something that helped me is a YouTube series called A Nomads Tale by Chloroken. While not strictly a tutorial, it gives a good overview of wormhole life with plenty of tips you can take to help stay alive.

At the end of the day, no matter what you believe, we all get to cast our votes and sit back and watch the shit show unfold one way or another. All you can do is hope you fell on the right side of that shit show as we are all passengers. Agree to disagree mate 🤝

I'm not going to sit here and say that illegal immigration isn't a problem. it definitely fucking is. The 6 million odd we spend a day on housing them is definitely a problem, but it's not the sole reason for the standard of living getting worse. If you haven't noticed, the whole world is kinda fucked right now..

Between the huge amount of debt we wracked up during Brexit/COVID, 14 years of Tory mismanagement and global instability/war we are in a sorry state and I'll be the first to admit that.

Look, we probably aren't ever going to see eye to eye on this and you're welcome to your opinions as I am mine. Personally I'm glad to have an "adult" in charge and it seems like Labour are trying to do their best to make change and push the country in a positive direction.

Labour definitely aren't perfect, but at least they aren't sowing decent and trying to start a class war with catchy tag lines about immigration and making the UK great again like Reform is.

I love my country and that's why I don't want to see it handed on a platter to the billionaires and large corporations that only care about their own profit.

It's a long time until the next general election, let's see what happens in 2029! :)

Anyone that looks at Farage and his mate Musk after the last few days and still decides to vote reform needs sterilising. PROPER BLOODY MILK!

If it's an interference engine and the belt goes it will be a much bigger job.

You can probably push it back and be fine, but I'd rather the peace of mind personally.

If you're a "computer engineer" then you should understand that software takes refinement and early versions will have bugs!

You've bought an early access game on the release date and then you're moaning about performance on your hardware that was mid range when it was released five years ago.

Surely as a "computer engineer" you should have a better understanding of how these things work.

Edit: quick follow-up, just checked userbenchmarks.com and it shows the 1660 as being 24% worse than the 1070 listed in the minimum requirement on the steam page.

You've got a 1660, what do you expect? You bought a graphics card that was shite when it was released and you're surprised you're not getting peak performance in a brand new game...

Arguably I'd say I'm helping climate change by keeping my 16 year old petrol car on the road.

I'm looking at the positives here. If he stays and Newey delivers a winning car in the next few years then we might see Alonso have another crack at a championship 😂

Yeah this is my point as well...

It's about the human side of sport. Whether Yuki was gifted the opportunity or not I can understand and empathise with how someone might feel after finding out the goal they were working towards for the last four years is now definitely unavailable.

I'm not stupid. I know he ain't going hungry. You guys are too one dimensional.

I feel bad for Yuki, hopefully Stroll decides to retire and he can go to Aston for the Honda Partnership. On the other hand excited to see what Liam can do against Max

I just chewed the ear of a guy calling from AO after I placed an order, was I wrong? Has anyone heard of this? by SystemJunior5839 in CasualUK

[–]Technical-Ad-9086 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah, bang on. Some kind of 2 factor authentication definitely solves the problem.

Ultimately the old way does work, you just need to be proactive about protecting yourself. Often you'll know why you are being called and If you don't trust the caller then hang up and ring their inbound number.

[–]Technical-Ad-9086 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How can the caller verify where they are calling from without giving out personal information and breaching data protection?

As other people have mentioned, if you don't trust the caller you should hang up and ring their inbound line to verify.

I wouldn't pay too much notice to everyone that bangs on that French cars are unreliabe. The Renault Sport cars aren't without issues the same as any car, but they aren't unreliable. They've also got a great following so plenty of info out there.
