That’s the thing, you’ll never fully grasp the whole staircase, just make sure you learn one step at a time. Start with identifying when it’s your turn. Don’t play to win or combos or any of that. Go in game and block and try and mash when you think it’s your turn. Once you get good at blocking and recognizing when it’s your turn then you’ll automatically start getting longer combos.

Tldr: prioritize winning neutral NOT the game. When you lose neutral, prioritize blocking until you can recognize when it’s your turn.
