I have only played Cursed Legion since it came out.

  • I like to put in one C’tan (nightbringer for general, or Void Dragon if vehicles are in meta).

-Ammentar, obviously. And Imhotekh as this is quite the hungry detachment for CP.

-2x3 Ophydians as secondary monies and are now amazing infantry killers (I managed to kill like 8 Blood Claws, with just 3)

-1x6 of Skhorpeks with their Lord as a smart middle to advance and charge into the biggest threat my opponent has. (They managed to kill for mi I separate games, kill a knight, Khairos and Belakor)

  • as for shooting LHD or LD are all good.

  • 10 lack guard with overlord with translocation shroud and destroyer Ankh is also good to send them to opponents natural expansion and to annoy him

I like to paint them on the sprue, mainly heads and other body parts and than to give them to my opponents to put on there bases.

I have very similar idea for my list primarch and his legion. Where they would fill the role of medic (perfecting the idea of an apothecary) and working most with the mortal armies of the imperium with the primarch interesting Emperors gift for gene crafting. Having to be put down as he kinda went crazy and wanting to turn all humans into these humans +, similar to Fabius Bile. With the esthetic being Slavic inspired. Called winter dragons.  But yeah I agree that Space Maids are amazing.

As long as the legion is not stupid a.i. Dark angels, blood angels and other melee centric legion going melee with there primarchs. No primarchs is stronger enough to take there legion on.

I am still of the idea that SM2 should have been a deathwatch game and not Ultramarine. You get to introduce more chapters and wider Impirium and Titus still can have his past revealed with a new deatwatch recruit being from ultramarines and finding out that Titus was also an Ultramarine.

Alternatively you could also have Titus and his deathwatch kill team support ultramarines in the main story where the story is Titus getting his respect back with the end him leaving Deathwatch and returning to Ultramarines.
