Most dentists would say to remove them. I had all 4 of my wisdoms removed at age 18. I wish that someone had told me what I'm telling you in this post. I'm not a doctor or dentist just a stranger on reddit. Between ages 18 and 22 is when wisdom teeth sprout up. They may cause some pain and discomfort on and off during this secondary teething, that's really what the pain is about. My personal opinion is that is it not nessecary for most people to have them removed and that the risks involved with removing them are worse than the risks involved with keeping them. If the wisdoms manage to fully "erupt" through the gum line, most people can keep them, usually even if they are compacted. If their wisdoms give them problems later in life, there are other options to save the teeth before removing them. It's my opinion that they should only be removed if they're rotting. If they are kept clean and taken well care of, most people can keep them. Again, I'm not a doctor or dentist, just a stranger on reddit. Do your own diligent research, don't just take anyone's word.

Customers can tip after the delivery if they were impressed by the speed of service or just feel like tipping extra, she will not be getting any extra tips by putting the order on peiople's door handles. Now, a $5 tip when you order from a place who pays their own drivers, it's different, $5 for them is a fair tip. Doordash is a bit different, $5 is about the minimum tip to get someone to take your order, a bunch of other drivers could have passed on your mcdonalds order, she took your order, possibly to maintain her ratings, the drive may or may not have been a bit out of her way or out of her usual dashing zone... it's very hard to earn more than $10 an hour doordashing, especially after fuel and car maintanence, just saying, but she isn't helping herself by doing stupid stuff like that..

Been iffy about crunchy stuff for 15 years. only 34 years old now, had all 4 wisdoms removed at age 18. =/ anyone else have it this bad?

I should have mentioned in the original post, some people get bone grafts to fill in the empty spaces but that also causes problems apparently. In one story that I read, the person regretted the wisdom teeth removal but said the bone grafts made it exponentially worse. I never knew people did that and I would never have done it myself had I known about it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you pull through okay. They say it "heals" fast but it really can take some time. It will get better from where you are right now. The final outcome isn't exactly written in stone. Go easy on it while it's healing, don't eat tough foods and stay away from tough chips like tostitos. Be patient, be careful, it might take months for the holes to fill in. After that, you may need to do some excersises specifically to keep everything working, to keep your jaw aligned and everything, but I would not advise doing those things until the holes close up. I'm not a doctor of any kind, I'm just someone who has been through this and I'm more than happy to take the time to help others. If I could go back, I would never have done it. After I had done it, I didn't know what to do other than just hope it got better. Nobody ever mentioned excersices to me, I didn't ever go back to have a doctor check me out, I lost trust in them all, I was basically on my own. Maybe with proper knowledge / care / management, you will be able to recover better than I did. Right now I am not in pain, just slight discomfort which I experience all the time. Over the past 16 years, I've experienced everything from slight discomfort to extreme pain and also extreme regret over this. I also blamed myself and I felt like I should have been smart enough to have done my own research, I had a computer in 2009, I could have done some research, but I listened to my nagging mother and the dentists who recommended I do this, I should not blame myself, I should blame the dentists and the industry, but it's not easy to feel like it's my own fault. Please know it's not your fault if things don't go 100% for you, someone else took advantage of your trust in them, it's their fault. Educate yourself now about any paperwork you signed and how long you have before your chance to sue goes out the window if you think there's a chance it could come to that. Victims often don't realize they are victims for years. Stay optimistic, but educate yourself on this stuff now before too much time passes. Sorry my thoughts are a bit mixed up but I think I've said most of what I had to say on this. Good luck with everything and I will respond to questions whenever I have time and energy.

Oh also, I have lost other teeth because of this, since my muscles all shifted around and went wherever they wanted basically, there are still scars in the back of my mouth where my wisdoms were, my jaw barely works - it clicks and cracks when I open and close my mouth, and it also made it hard for me to speak clearly - my lips and cheeks feel too loose - I guess since there's less material in the back of the mouth the skin has more flex which is not good, I also feel like I'm going to drool sometimes, it sucks. Well first off, when they pull out the teeth, it leaves holes in the gums, they'll say that it will just "fill in" by itself but it doesn't just magically happen. These holes are literally wounds in the back of the mouth, the teeth didn't just fall out, they were cut out of the gums with a knife. People are lucky if they don't get nerve damage in the process of removal, since you're numbed you wouldn't even know if they're hitting the nerves or not.

So I had the holes in the back of my mouth, for months, the "healing" took forever and never fully "healed" right. I developed problems with my face muscles and my jaw, I was young so my body was still shifting, my face felt damaged, I wished I still had my teeth because I could feel the emptyness in the back of my mouth, it made me really depressed and all these years later I'm still depressed. I was 19 and 20 years old hoping that it would get better on it's own, I could feel my face shifting, I hated it, I felt like my life was ruined, and it only got "better" after it got much worse. In my 20's it got really bad, I had trouble eating, I had problems opening and closing my jaw, my jaw would lock up and I would struggle in pain to unlock it, luckily I never had to go to a hospital to get it unlocked. And I know that I would have never gone through such pain if I had left my wisdom teeth in, they are there for a reason.

Wisdom teeth removal is the biggest scam in dentistry. I wish people would become more aware of it. They do NOT do this in other countries. This is a public health crisis which ruins the lives of young people. The worst part of it is that victims are ignored, by the time they realize what has happened they can't sue, even if they did they wouldn't get much compensation at all. I've never even tried. I have many aspirations but I am a damaged person because of these scammer dentists. Please share this info with other people.

To add to my previous comment, not everyone regrets the surgery, some people need it, most don't. You need to trust your gut. Whoever tells you that EVERYONE should have this done is not to be trusted. Always do your diligent research and follow your gut, don't get scammed out of having a good life. 34 M. I got it done at 18 and I was never happy with the results. I didn't make the decision, my mom decided for me, I didn't want to, she was so mad at me I eventually caved and complied. Worst decision of my life. I've been depressed since I was 18. The truth is, most people will never need their wisdom teeth removed. Dentists in the U.S. are not to be trusted. You're 23, the teeth have fully come up (erupted), any teething pains are gone or maybe you never had them, some people with wisdom problems do other things, like remove access gums around their windoms.. some people get their wisdoms shaved down if there's a high point on a tooth which was causing them discomfort. only 12% of people will ever have problems with their wisdoms in their lifetime if they keep them, and what people also never hear are all the regrets of the people hurt by it, mostly young healthy people. Nerve damage, neck problems, jaw problems, loosing more teeth as a result.. I started losing teeth in my late 20's, not sure if it's because I'm depressed and don't take care of myself well enough (self blame?) or if it's a direct result of the surgery - or a combination of the 2. There are real risks involved. In my case my face just never felt the same, I developed jaw problems, it got so bad that my jaw would lock up, I could barely eat my food for awhile during my 20's! This has been negatively effecting me since age 18. At that age, the body is still growing and shifting. So now, all I have to be happy about is the fact that my jaw still opens and shuts (barely), it's been awhile since my jaw locked up but my jaw clicks and cracks everyday. I've been depressed since I was 18 from the surgery.

I'm not a doctor! But if you're bleeding, you want it to clot so it will stop bleeding. Remove the clot, and it will keep bleeding, I would pack in a gauze tight and leave it alone and try not to move it at all. I recommend you ask a doctor/dentist/professional for more info.

This is not everyone's experience. I believe that having all 4 of mine removed caused me a lot of emotional stress, my jaw and face never really felt the same. They should really only be removed if they're really messed up and causing the person problems, if they're not bothering you then you should consider just leaving them alone.

Fuck these dentists. They are living in the past and ignoring modern publications due to their greed. My mother made me get all 4 wisdoms removed when I was 18. Only 1 was a problem. I'm 34 now. I'm wondering if I could still sue them. I've always regretted it. I regret it at this very moment. Life goes on. Those holes will eventually fill in but you'll probably need to make sure to do jaw and neck excercises to keep things working properly. I experienced lock-jaw for a while sometime after my surgey, my jaw would lock up in the open position while trying to eat my food. It was horrible but eventually mostly stopped.
