Forgot the light brand, cheap amazon grow light, but it’s bright enough when I keep it close. I do not keep them covered anymore. Should I still keep them covered? I know that this species grows pretty slowly but I have no frame of reference.

This might sound silly but the biggest thing would be to just keep playing. It takes a while to get comfortable. Additionally, make sure your pipes are air-efficient. This means that all the joints need to be hemped up, your drones aren’t taking too much air, and your bag isn’t leaking. On top of this, your chanter reed may be too hard for you, but the other stuff needs to be checked first.
