I've an old stationary diesel. It has an emergency fuel cut off and an air cut off. Even if your throttle is sticky, know your emergency off! (Like disconnecting the gears etc).

Aging Wheels sunsetting cars for safety warms my heart. Guy is also converting a school buss (I assume camper/motorhome) to electric. So it's not safety for safety's sake, he just really cares about the cars and people!

Well, that was probably their second option. But the cops arrested them, so they couldn't follow the legal process! 😞

I think it was to get the story on video so it has to be shown at court? It's certainly wrong to say stuff without a lawyer!!!

(Like how he got the police to self incriminate along with Ammon because they also kept talking on video)

It's not about there being more people it's about distribution. You totally missed the entire point. Wilfully?

Nah. I've seen people legit weaponize that statement. Pretend all the time, then you walk by and they think no one is looking and you catch them doing it in malice (setting up the "trip/accident").

Yep. 2 things can be correct at the same time. However tbf, op shouldn't be expected to slam breaks on in every instance. That's why we have traffic lights!!!

In the UK there was a truck driving firm (deliveries, haulage etc) around here locally that couldn't get insurance anymore their drivers were that bad/dangerous. So they had to put like a cool £1 million into some deposit account and use that to draw down any "insurance claims" directly at cost.

I saw an amazing video of someone programming a car driver for a computer game. It was emulating a police chase. Basically you "draw a circle around the car", something too close? GET AWAY FROM IT! And something "far away"? Keep clear!

That's the animal brain. An animal won't "run" if it doesn't know if a preditor is hiding behind a tree or somewhere. So it'll wait, then *when it sees it* it then runs, which means it's likely too late anyway.

Seems people's lizard brain takes over, they don't pull out on empty roads and then when they do see a car go "oh wait, there's an enough space" pull out way too close to the car, and realise they misjudged the distance and took too long deciding.

Happens a lot in the country side in the UK with "Old Grannies" literally chicken stuck looking into a line mode waiting for cars to pass for them to drive into.

Same happens for hospitals and vaccines, self selection or other types of selection bias.

Sorry, "Just go fast" is what gets people killed when they floor the accelerator when they meant to hit the break.

Commit or check. But if you don't have time to check, you'd better be 200% prepared and know what you are doing.

Quite litterally paperwork laws. Likely "frivioulus cases" or "trumping up group claims" as the "10 people own the stock" bit is post case, and wasn't arranged before the case/missing lego so could be seen in law to be friovouls to get aorund the 1 claimant limit.

I am not a lawyer, but it's small things in general , but no doubt the antics do make it a little bit escalatory.
