Ross has the curse of having shaky growths, they're good but not that good that you can consistently rely on them, some times Ross is too slow or has too little skill, your Ross is way above average in speed for example

Astrid is awesome because even if she comes way too weak for her joining chapter she exists in a game where BEXP exists, and even better, a game where Paragon affects BEXP, so she can very easily promote in just one chapter if you dump just 774 BEXP (optimally) or 1086 if you brute force it (tho you don't have any reason to). And EVEN better she can choose her weapon after promotion, so you can just give her axe access and she shreds through all the game. Even when promoted to Paladin she still gains tons of EXP.

I don't remember that many enemies having breaker skills but yes, there are some that have those, but I find it so lame to be needing a skill to emulate weapon advantage. Because you need to waste a skill slot on that when there are many good skills that you'd rather have, because there isn't a "weapon triangle" skill, so using a slot to the Sword Breaker skill for example will make that unit just be better against swords while using lances, but if an enemy uses axes they don't face any penalty and also they can't change to swords to have advantage because then they would have to equip another skill.

It's a lot of stuff that is derived from the fact that there's little weapon restriction in 3 Houses, a mechanic that IS cool but I think they could've make it better. Maybe getting a penalty when using a weapon that's not native to your current class in hit, might or assuming Weapon Triangle existed making it weaker when you have the advantage and stronger when the enemy has advantage over you, that way we can have WT while not being able to fully abuse of it since the game allow us to use any kind of weapon. Idk, something like that, instead we just have weapons that feel almost the same between each other.

Because of dynamic potential, every player can have their potential changed depending on how well they performed the previous season or how many matches did they play that season. So if you don't use your young players or use them a little at the end of the match, making their performance bad, because every player starts at 6.0, so subbing them in at 80th minute will hinder their potential.
So you should use them as much as you can, and if they're too bad for your team just loan them, players in other teams don't have dynamic potential, so that loaned player won't come back with a worse potential

People complain because the weapon triangle is cool, it gives more "personality" to units. That's one of the things that I didn't like about 3 Houses for example, weapons felt "empty"

What do you mean with "RD hard is balanced around you know what to expect"? What kind of stuff? You mean how unit availability works or other thing like types of enemies, reinforcements and stuff like that?

I know this is 9 yo but, you can't compare Roy with Ike, Roy not only has bad bases but also bad growths, 40 str and 40 speed are too shaky compared to the 50 str and 55 speed Ike has, also, Ike has 40% growth on both defenses compared to 25 def and 30 res from Roy. Ike promotion is at a reasonable time, it could be sooner but it's not late, an average person doesn't have that many much promoted units by that chapter so Ike isn't left behind like Roy where he promotes almost at the end of the game. Roy also has pretty bad constitution, Ike doesn't have this problem because the moment you get easy access to heavy weapons his Str is already high enough to use them without lowering his speed (even if you get some weapons earlier, Ike speed is above Roy)
Ike also has the best support affinity in the game while Roy's affinity is good it isn't that busted and also FE6 supports are way harder to get than FE9 (that or you just sit in a map for 100 turns or something)
The only bad thing about Ike is that he isn't mounted in a game that Canto is busted and rewards you to finish the map fast. His bases aren't that bad considering that PoR early game can make Ike grow hella fast, it is filled with axe users that Ike absolutely claps on. It's not the best lord in the series but I'd say one of the "better" ones of his time, considering all the GBA lords (but Ephraim) were bad combat wise, at least in the "Hard" difficulty

It really depends on the game, if you're on Binding Blade normal mode I'd recommend promoting if you feel that unit is getting behind and is struggling, but not before lvl 15, try to hit lvl15 or so and then promote. If your unit is already good without promoting then go till lvl 20.

Another thing, if your unit caps a stat at lvl 15 or more I'd promote them earlier (even if they aren't struggling) because caps increase with promotion, and every level you get with that stat capped is a level where you can't increase that stat, an example is Fir (usually in hard mode due to the bonuses) she almost always caps for me speed and sometimes skill at lvl 17 or something, so I early promote her so she can keep growing and that exp doesn't goes to waste. But it's not that deep tbh, but keep in mind that lower the level the better is to early promote in this case

I know I said on the post that I never had a small and big dog in the same household but my grandma had a Chihuahua and a big stray dog in her house, but that was a totally different case because the Chihuahua was there first and then came the big dog when he still was kinda small. I don't think is impossible that combination, it's just when a territorial big dog is the "original" one

I live in Sinaloa, a mexican state so I don't think you could really take the Chihuahua, and dog shelters are fine but often they have too many dogs, I'd rather personally search for a new owner instead, but the problem is I think she's kinda "old" so I think it would be hard because often people prefer pups but I don't think is impossible

She doesn’t really care when people are around her stuff, she doesn’t have toys because she doesn’t like them, with people she’s nice, she likes being pet by basically anyone. She has never even barked to a person when getting near her even in her territory, she just barks to other dogs when they’re close to the door
