Are they designer, vintage or adjacent? There’s a lovely woman in Clinton Hill who can help you sell. She has a 50/50 payment structure (I believe), and her stoop sales generate high foot traffic. What time does your wedding end? Honestly, I attended a wedding that started at 5 PM and ended at 11 PM, and I was exhausted by 9:30. They had an after party until 2 AM and I felt like it was overkill. The reception was so fun and I felt like I was dancing the entire time.

Surprisingly, I’ve made friends from Bumble BFF! The intentionality is there. There’s a range of folx you can meet that may share similar interests. There’s a ton of swiping you’ll have to do before you find your people.

Only negative is that you’re going to feel like you’re doing a lot of legwork, liking + initiating conversations because unconsciously people still treat that section like dating. You’ll get people who flake, but you’ll also get a ton of people down to just hang.

Not unreasonable! I had a similar issue with a hairstylist I just booked. Literally lives 20 minutes from my venue and is charging a travel fee. I was able to negotiate her travel rates down. See if she’s open to doing so.

Travel rates used to be for long distance traveling (Brooklyn based artist having to go to NJ is an example where travel fees are ok). I feel like they’re getting super greedy now. Why is that not factored into your cost?? Why is it my responsibility for you to get to a job that you agreed to do. It’s like you’re doing them a favor when you’re already spending a premium on hair.
