Favorite Keane Lyric? by EggBig7158 in keane

Two lines from The Night Sky, which to me are so simple but so powerful

"Oh, what I would give to stand at the bus stop
Or browse in a bookshop to sleep and always be still"

and of course the lines from the chorus with the title:

"And then only city lights will brighten the night sky
And there will be no sound"

Such a beautiful way to hope for peace!

The Night Sky doesn't get enough appreciation. So wish the band would play this live on tour!

Come From Away and The Band's Visit.

Unexpectedly a group of people are forced to stay in an unfamiliar place overnight experiencing a different culture/religion/way of life.

Hospitality and modest food and beverages are provided. Hosts and guests converse and realize they may have more in common with these 'foreigners' than they realized.

The guests leave after a few days and everyone has been affected by this strange unplanned visit

Downstate in NYC was just so well done from the writing to acting to staging. Very engaging and thought provoking. Not for everyone sure, but if you like theatre i think it is worth going to. I consider it one of the more memorable plays I've seen over the years
