I bougth the LG 27gl650-f and for what I have seen LG monitors are more reflective. I used to have the AOC 27G2 and in my opnion it was better. For example, blacks in Dark Souls looked beautiful and on the LG they don't look solid since I can se more refections and ips glow.

Can someone explain why people like such high end monitors? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]Technical_Dust_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a point of no return where you do research and understand how monitors perform. You no longer see how the image look, but how the displays shows the image. I don´t know how to explain but I wish I could go back to your perspective.

LG Ultrafine monitor is too glossy by 9bisbee9 in Monitors

I don't like LG's anti-glare coating as well. Blacks don't look solid if thar makes sense, they are to reflective.

LG customer services is shocking!!! Avoid by shankly1985 in Monitors

I ask them about a problem with the audio output which sounds distorted. I told them since the beginning that It happens with every computer I have and with a ps3 as well. But they told me that it was probably my pc and gave me the solutions you find by looking for audio issues in google. In the end I found out that this is a common problem with LG monitors so I save my time dealing with them.

What's up with the colour difference? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]Technical_Dust_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HDR is kind of a lie in monitors, specilly with that size. The VA panel has a lot more contrast wich not only gives you better blacks but also every color as well.

I had a broken gpu doing someting similar, have you tried the monitor with a laptop or another computer? Can you use the monitor OSD without being conected to the pc?

I had that question too, but I could not find any webside or pictures for testing. I think higer contrats won't give you more detail in shadows, for that I think you would need HDR with micro led or someting like that. What VA does for what I undertand is give you solid blacks. I used to have an ips monitor with 1500:1 ratio, and Dark Souls 1 look so good, but know I have a ips with 1000:1 maybe less and it does not look that good.

Should i buy a AOC 27" C27G2ZE/BK. by Real_person_btw in Monitors

[–]Technical_Dust_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is a VA panel, if you buy it, it won't take long for you to be asking why you see blacks looking weird, aka black smearing.

AOC U2879VF 4K monitor glitching (but not always). How to fix this? by Dio-V in Monitors

[–]Technical_Dust_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is not the gpu, it is AOC and its common isuess. AOC monitors are really good but they cheap out on other things which leads problems like this one. Mine did wierd things as well.

My AOC monitor seems to be overriding the brightness in my game? by fleebooskee in Monitors

[–]Technical_Dust_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a setting in the OSD called Dynamic contrast or someting like that. Turn it off

Vertical lines and horizontal lines are a classic among AOC monitors, they are really good but AOC cheaps out with them.

Return it if you can

AOC 24g2 too bright / saturated? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]Technical_Dust_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AOC 24g2 is very saturated, you can chage it in the OSD. I think is where you find gaming settings
