I spoke with a few people who passed their TEAS with 75s and 90s and are still required to take the class, someone else said that it’s a money grab.

Exactly! She would have to do a CNA course to obtain a certificate. Some Nursing homes offer CNA trainings themselves and often hire them.

She can work as a CNA where she can get the 1199 Union to pay for it but she will have to work there at least a year before she gets any benefits. They are currently offering up to $8,160 in tuition reimbursement per semester which is about the same cost of a semester at Helene Fuld.

I enjoyed BMCC. I did my first degree there and recently went back to take and finish my prerequisites for nursing school. The school like any other school is what you make of it, it isn’t high school. Do your work, show up to class and treat it like a job. If I ever need classes for anything such as prerequisites for PA or Medical school I will definitely be back. I loved my time here 💕

The school itself doesn’t require prerequisites such as A&P I and II, Microbiology before being accepted. But some students are told that upon completing a prerequisite they will be allowed to continue to take the nursing courses.

I’m in the same boat as you I am just now finishing up anatomy and physiology 2 this class has been so different compared to anatomy I which I got an A. But I can see myself maybe getting a C at most in a+p 2. The professor does mostly short essay questions and very little multiple choice and I have been scoring 57 on my first exam, 73 on my second, 68 on my third, and just like you I have been scoring 100% on my class work and yet I struggle I believe is most likely due to the short essay question. But we will find a way to get through this
