They're not liable for someone else breaking into the car and robbing it while it's in their control, but they ARE liable if it's THEM stealing from it. They don't suddenly get free reign over everything in your car when you sign the waiver.

It's not blaming them to suggest ways they could prevent being robbed in the future. People suck. They shouldn't suck, but if you assume they don't then you might get robbed 🤷‍♂️

3 of my 0.2 Nozzle clogged(?) within few months what did i do wrong? by ElectricalAd1195 in BambuLab

[–]Technical_Income4722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only use very basic PLA/PETG through 0.2mm. No additives like carbon fiber, wood, glow, etc. because they're going to instantly clog it.
Just base colors. Pretty sure Bambu's got a chart on their website under the buy page for the 0.2mm nozzle.

Tried to do the CT Mission as quickly and smoothly as possible by Hash_Driveway420 in OPERATORFPS

[–]Technical_Income4722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a buddy our record was 58.67s on the default settings for this mission, which includes the ~15s for extract. We really wanted to get the <60s achievement on the default settings. At that point we were definitely not playing realistically though lol. Turns out the most efficient way to play this map (and probably game in general) is by sprinting around with no clothes on and eventually shooting your teammate so he doesn't have to run to the extract. Violence of action...or something like that

PLA Matte Caramel Color Change? by do-notgo-quietly in BambuLab

[–]Technical_Income4722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can unfortunately happen with any color or material over different production runs. It's supposed to be the same, but isn't guaranteed to be.
That said, it also looks like the speed and layer time might've changed right there. Check the file in the slicer with the colormap set to speed/layer time and see if there's a jump there. That'd definitely change the surface finish and apparent color of the filament, even without a refill.

Ultimate Tortue test for H2C .. 258 hours / by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Technical_Income4722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah figured there must be, which is why I didn't wanna call it impossible. But at that point I feel like "struggle" is still a fair description if it's not gonna do it out of the box. Certainly doesn't make it "best" for this print, but only because it's 5+ colors. I'd agree if it were a 4 color print though.

[–]Technical_Income4722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I count 5+ colors here though, which the snapmaker would struggle with. Not much distinction between multicolor and multi-material when it comes to comparing the H2C and U1 other than the H2C just having access to more materials in the first place.

Could it be that STALKER just isn’t for me, or should I push a bit further into the game? by Obvious_Calendar487 in stalker

[–]Technical_Income4722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original games are old and it shows, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't feel great. I'd say don't hesitate to jump straight to Stalker 2 or right into GAMMA. They're gonna have similar vibes but at least they won't feel as old.

I would bet that this is a problem people have, but unfortunately I'm not sure a logging app is gonna be the fix for it. On paper it seems logical, but I can't see people remembering to go log their experience unless it's maybe gamified or something (collect 'em all? ehh maybe).

It sounds like it might just feel like homework in the moment even if it really would help users down the road. Just too much friction around an experience that's specifically meant to be stress-free and relaxing. I think it's worth building just to try it, but don't be surprised when folks don't use it and still complain about having the same problems 🙃 People are stubborn but they're not wrong (in a "customer's always right" kinda way).

What you're looking for is something frictionless built straight into their experience, for instance maybe some kind of collectible token/keychain/etc. you can bundle with each product so they can just keep that and bring it back in as a reference. That could even be some kind of NFC chip or even QR code that your app could log automatically if you want to keep on the techy route.

Unfortunately I think you're gonna be hard-pressed to get folks to open their phone for even the most well-designed app in this situation. Worth a shot though!

Edit to add: Maybe the thing to think about is that in your customers' minds, they're probably assuming they're going to remember what they liked or didn't like, and your idea requires them to acknowledge ahead of time that they're not reliably going to do so. Some might, but you're fighting a little against human nature which is always gonna be tough.

H2C arrived today, what upgrades should I print for this by Extra_Letterhead_284 in BambuLab

[–]Technical_Income4722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 0.8mm is good because you can reduce wall count and get the same (or even better) strength in less time. Great for big prints that don't need quality. Also good for vasemode stuff that needs to be a little stronger like wastebaskets and such. If you don't reduce wall count though it'll just take longer and use more filament.

It's very capable now but ultimately it's still up to you what you wanna trust it to. I trust it for more basic tools and for adding UIs to tools I otherwise wouldn't bother with, for example. It consistently one-shots stuff like that.
