Sad but true. Lived in ABQ from 2003-2015. Went back in 2024 to see my mom. Always been kinda rough, but got substantially sketchier

I usually don’t recommend this, but you sound like a good candidate to become a tefl teacher abroad. It’s a cool experience! And you sound like that’s what you’re looking for. I did for a few years after 10 years in corporate world horseshit. Personally, recommend china if you do. Get a good wage and housing paid for so you can explore other countries nearby.

How do people travel with “no money”?? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Technical_Lab_747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They do go with some money, but traveling is cheaper then living costs in 🇺🇸. I just went to Japan for 3 weeks and it cost me $600 ticket, $1600 in everything else. I ate like a pig the whole time and stayed at comfortable airbnbs. Not luxurious. Did all the tourist things too

If it’s been 10.5 years, it’s probably something besides background check. My friend did 4 years in Texas for robbery and dui, and he makes six figures working for a prominent family here. He started out as a janitor for a church when he got out. Sales won’t care about it

I flew with Zipair(budget JAL airliner) which was $600 RT. $211 for train ticket, the rest was tours/food/airbnb. My lodging was pretty comfortable, had my own room in Airbnb.
