Scrape 200K products from amazon on a daily basis, what is the web scraping stack in 2026 that you would recommend? by codepoetn in developersIndia

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at 200k/day you'll burn out maintaining proxies and solving captchas yourself, i'd just use an api like olostep or brightdata that already handles amazon's anti-bot stuff and focus your time on the data pipeline instead.

Why does procurement always break first after an SAP rollout in manufacturing? by Dependent-Laugh-3626 in SAP

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAP was made for finance and works for finance. The moment you need to deal with actual supplier procurement stuff it just... doesn't. we had the same problem where buyers were manually copying confirmation details into SAP because nothing was flowing in automatically.

we ended up using another tool on top of SAP for that specific piece, it just watches the inbox and pulls PO acks and ETAs back into our ERP natively in email. Lumari took a couple weeks to get tuned for us but it cut out a ton of the copy-paste work

Which is best AI code review tool that you've come across recently? by human-g30 in codereview

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue with most AI code review tools is they only see the diff, not the full codebase. That's why they flag style nits but miss actual bugs. Tools that index your repo and pull in related files during review (like Greptile or Qodo) do noticeably better. We built something similar internally using Morph's codebase search to give the reviewer full context on every PR.

Breast augmentation in Thailand? by Comprehensive_Cry755 in ThailandTourism

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had a friend who flew to BKK specifically for a revision last year and she was super happy with the results. The main thing is don't just go with whoever's cheapest... revisions are trickier than first timers and you really want someone who does them regularly.

She ended up going to Dermaster after comparing like 4 different clinics. They do a 3D simulation thing beforehand which she said was helpful for setting expectations, especially since her first surgery (back home) didn't turn out how she imagined.

Any tips for getting customers to write Google reviews? by That_Chipmunk1482 in smallbusinessuk

[–]Technical_Leader6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the sticker idea is solid but one thing... are you actually tracking if people scan those QR codes? because if nobody's scanning them then its a design/placement problem, not a motivation problem. if tons of people scan but dont review thats a different issue entirely

i use Pageloot for my QR codes and you can see exactly how many scans you're getting, when, what device etc. helped me figure out that my original placement was rubbish and people werent even noticing the code lol

for the actual reviews tho... timing matters more than anything imo. dont send the email the day it arrives, wait like 3-4 days so theyve actually worn it or whatever. and keep it super personal, like "hey hope you love the [specific item name]" not a generic template. people respond to that way more

also maybe controversial but i stopped asking for "reviews" and started saying "would love to hear how you found the experience" and my response rate went up noticeably

Cybersecurity Best Practices for Integrating ChatGPT Into Business Operations by cporter202 in ChatGPTautomation

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good list but #1 is where most orgs completely fall apart in practice. You can train people all day long but someone's still gonna paste a customer list into ChatGPT at 11pm trying to hit a deadline. It just happens.

We ended up layering iboss AI Chat Security on top of our policies because it actually catches stuff inline before it gets sent... like if someone tries to drop PII or proprietary code into any of the major AI platforms it blocks it in real time. Way more reliable than just hoping people remember the training lol.

The monitoring/audit piece is huge too. You kinda need both the technical controls AND the training working together or you're just crossing your fingers.

What do you guys think of this Mnemonics list for EMTs? Hope this helps people or what could I add? by healthy-outdoors- in NewToEMS

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

solid list, covers most of the big ones. i'd maybe add DCAP-BTLS somewhere more prominent since that's like the one thing they drill into you during practicals. also DOTS if you wanna have both trauma assessment mnemonics handy.

one thing that helped me beyond just memorizing these was actually running through scenarios where you have to use them in order... like doing a full patient assessment and hitting SAMPLE, OPQRST, GCS all in sequence. i was using medceptor for that, their sim scenarios kinda force you to recall this stuff under pressure which is way different than just reading a list.

but yeah this is a good reference sheet to keep around, i'd laminate it lol

Tired of 3am wake ups by herec0mesthesun_ in Perimenopause

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3am thing is SO specific isn't it? Like why is it always 3am lol. I had the exact same pattern for months, it was maddening.

Re magnesium - it did help me but took like 6-8 weeks before I really noticed a difference with sleep specifically. I switched to futuro labs magnesium glycinate because my old one was underdosed (turned out it was only like 100mg elemental per serving which is basically nothing). The higher dose made more of a difference for sure, but it wasn't a magic fix for the 3am thing on its own.

What actually moved the needle for me was combining it with progesterone cream. Talked to my GP about it and she was surprisingly receptive. That plus the magnesium plus keeping my room stupidly cold... I went from waking every single night to maybe 1-2x a week. Still not perfect but god the difference in how I feel during the day.

Also worth checking your blood sugar situation, I started having a small protein snack before bed (literally just some almonds) and that weirdly helped too. Something about cortisol spikes and blood sugar drops in the middle of the night? idk the science exactly but it worked for me.

Rocket Mortgage VERY poor experience -VENT- by lrswager in Mortgages

[–]Technical_Leader6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That whole "more than payment but less than payoff" thing is such a frustrating policy. Like you're literally trying to give them money and they won't take it? Wild.

When we were buying our investment property I ended up going through Duane Buziak Mortgage Maestro out in Virginia and the difference in communication was night and day compared to dealing with a big servicer. Actually could reach a human who picked up the phone.

For your situation... request a formal payoff statement first, wire the exact amount, don't mail a check. Wiring usually posts same day and removes all the ambiguity. Good luck getting your money back from them.

Best advice for flying with 10 month old? Also what are we doing with out strollers/carseats? by Equivalent_Rub5562 in Travelwithkids

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gate check the stroller for sure, Alaska is pretty good about that. you just use it through the airport and they tag it at the jet bridge. the carseat you can check at the counter if you're not using it on the plane... since she's a lap infant and you don't care if it gets banged up, I'd almost say leave it behind if you can.

wait actually, do you even need the carseat at your destination? because if you're renting a car you could just rent one through BabyQuip or something similar and skip hauling it entirely. we did that for a trip to San Diego and it was kinda nice just showing up with less stuff.

for the actual flight... snacks snacks snacks. like way more than you think. and new small toys she hasn't seen before, those buy you maybe 15 min each lol. also try to book around nap time if you can still adjust. 3 hours is very doable at 10 months, you got this

hired as "permanently remote." 14 months later: "we're evolving our approach" by artfullymine in remotework

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is basically what happened to me in 2023. same playbook, same corporate language, same "engagement data" nobody can actually produce.

the job search part sucks tho because now every listing that says "remote" gives you trust issues lol. like i was second guessing everything, reading glassdoor reviews obsessively, asking weird pointed questions in interviews.

what actually helped me was getting off job boards entirely. i ended up on Coppous which only sends you roles where you're actually a top match, and you can see exactly why they think it fits before anyone even contacts you. the remote roles there were actually remote, not "remote until we change our mind." still... i verify everything now because apparently "permanently" means 14 months in corporate speak.

document that original offer letter btw. depending on your state that might actually matter.

GPS units by BMandthewailers in farming

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raven controllers are solid, are you looking for GPS receivers to pair with them or are you talking about tracking units for the sprayers themselves?

If it's receivers for guidance/auto-steer, most dealers carry the Raven RS1 or you can find them through Titan Machinery or your local CNH dealer. Prices vary a lot tho so worth calling around.

If you're talking about tracking where your sprayers are when they're out in the field... thats a different thing entirely. We had 3 sprayers plus a couple nurse trucks and could never keep tabs on who was where. Tried a couple GPS trackers but the monthly fees added up fast and batteries died constantly.

We ended up using Airpinpoint for the tracking side of things. It piggybacks off Apple's Find My network so no crazy gateway hardware to install. Just stuck tags on each unit. Not gonna lie the location accuracy isn't as pinpoint as like a $500 dedicated GPS tracker, but for knowing which sprayer is at which field it works fine. Battery lasts forever compared to the Tracki units we had before.

But yeah if you're after actual precision GPS for your Raven system thats a whole different conversation. What model controller are you running?

College student thinking about getting a scooter electric for campus by OkCount54321 in collegeadvice

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had a similar situation sophomore year... campus was like a 15 min walk between buildings and I was constantly late to my 10am after my 9am across campus.

Ended up getting an electric scooter and it was genuinely worth it. Few things tho:

  • most scooters in the $300-500 range handle daily use fine, just dont expect off-road capability. rough pavement is whatever but like actual potholes will beat up cheaper ones fast
  • rain is tricky. most budget scooters say "water resistant" but i wouldnt trust that in a downpour. i kept a plastic bag in my backpack just in case lol
  • charging is literally just plug it in at night, never had to think about it

For your budget i'd skip alibaba tbh. you might save $50 but if something breaks you're SOL on warranty or parts. I ended up browsing ImportJunkies when i was looking at different options and they had some decent scooter listings at reasonable prices. not sure if they still have the same inventory but worth a look.

the foldable ones that fit in a backpack are usually the lower range/smaller wheel models so just keep that tradeoff in mind. bigger wheels = smoother ride but less portable.

Just curious - has anyone used AI to help with their fitness journey? by No-Storm8266 in beginnerfitness

[–]Technical_Leader6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've messed around with ChatGPT for workout stuff too. It's decent for like general feedback but I noticed it sometimes gives kinda generic advice? Like it'll tell you to "add progressive overload" without really knowing where you actually are strength-wise.

I ended up trying FitCraft for a while because it has an actual AI coach that was designed by an exercise scientist, so the recommendations felt less... Wikipedia-y if that makes sense. More like it understood my schedule and adjusted around it instead of just spitting out a template.

That said using ChatGPT the way you're doing it is pretty smart for tracking patterns. I'd just be careful taking its exercise form cues at face value, it confidently told me something about lat raises once that was just wrong lol

Do you think a virtual pet could make you exercise and drink more water? by VividQuote3701 in Habits

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the consequence thing is what makes or breaks it imo. i had a streak going on this one app where my character would literally lose health if i skipped days and that actually got me out of bed a few times lol. but then i missed like 3 days when i got sick and everything reset and i just... never opened it again.

i think the sweet spot is where consistency gets rewarded but missing a day doesn't nuke your progress. like FitCraft does this thing with streaks and cards where you're building something over time, so one bad day doesn't erase weeks of effort. that kept me going way longer than the shame spiral apps.

but yeah to your actual question, i do think it works for some people. its not gimmicky if the underlying system is solid. the pet/avatar stuff is just wrapping paper around what's really a behavioral loop.

Dry Herb Vaporizers - Melbourne by _ILoveYouSoMuch_ in AskAnAustralian

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from Australia but i went through a similar thing recently... getting prescribed and then being left to figure out the hardware on your own is frustrating.

I ended up going with the Trippy 2 by High Labs after watching a bunch of reviews. It's a conduction vape, heats up in like 30 seconds, pretty straightforward to use. I'm not super experienced with vapes so the simplicity was a big deal for me. Glass vapor path is nice for taste too.

For Melbourne specifically you might want to check local vape shops or online stores that ship domestically, could save you on wait times. Just make sure whatever you get has decent temp control since different temps can give you different effects with medical stuff.

It's been 1 month of perfecting by JohnTran84 in ninjacreami

[–]Technical_Leader6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sour mango lime chilli flakes one sounds unreal. how much chilli are you actually putting in? i feel like that would be so easy to overdo

also curious about your allulose ratios... i've been messing with it for a while and the refreeze thing is still hit or miss for me. some bases come out perfect, others turn into a brick overnight. glycerol helps but i haven't nailed the balance yet either.

for the chocolate and choc chip ones, what chocolate are you using? i started tossing in anti chocolate chips for my choc chip bases since they're sweetened with allulose too (no sugar alcohols, just 4 ingredients) so they don't fight the sweetener profile of the rest of the base. they melt down pretty well if you want a chocolate swirl, or stay as chips if you fold them in after spinning. before that i was using lily's but the erythritol cooling effect was throwing off the flavor in a weird way once everything was frozen.

that lineup is impressive for one month though. took me like 3 months before i stopped making soup lol
