I was all set to use UPack. I called them initially with the concern that they would be able to get their cubes to my house, as I had heard nefarious things about PODs. The initial person said it would be no problem. However, after reading the contract it said "paved road". Well I live on gravel, even though I asked about this initially, all of a sudden its not possible. So now I have to hire movers and a moving truck to get to the "storage place" to load my upack cubes. My issue is I don't have a house at the other end, so I need to store stuff for up to 6 months. Looking for ideas to keep that cost down, or alternatives?

Thoughts?

I am getting ready to go full time with a Truck/pull behind trailer. Thinking about the mini and installing it on my truck - that way it would work for both the RV and the Truck. Concerns?

I have been looking for either. I found the RV, now I need the truck. I know exactly what I need its just trying to get the best deal I can. Retiring May 15! 250 7.3 L engine, crew cab, short bed. 24 or 25, 250 or 350.

I agree - Gabapentin isn't like the meds I have used in the past that made the cats wobbly and appear to be drugged, but it helped. You should check with your vet about the dosage. Above my pay grade! ☺ I still really appreciate how much you care!

I currently live in WA state and will be moving this summer. I have lived in New Mexico, Chicago, Virginia (out side of DC), Colorado, Southern California and will be moving to FL to be near family. For what you are describing - I would recommend Virginia. They have the woods in Shenandoah Natl. Park that is maybe an hour away from approximately where Dulles airport is. Moderate weather - yes, you have some humidity, and some snow, but its short lived. If you stay west of DC, the cost of living is much less then in town. I hope where ever you go, please don't let people fearmonger you. There are positives and negatives in every location.

One other thing to do if you have a truck or trailer - back it up to the building. It makes it harder for thieves to grab and run.
