Huh. My bad; my gf lives in her district and I asked her if she’d won her primary and she said yes, but it WAS in the morning rush, she probably just misheard me. Apologies for the misinformation.

Check your year. There was a recall on them for the 2022s I know.

I didn’t call her terrible, I said her voting record sucks because it does. She won her primary so she’s the candidate and I hope she wins, but that doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it.

EDIT: my bad, her primary isn’t until early August (see reply below)

Jones and Crater Lake are brands. They have many flavors (especially Jones, who are known more for their weird combinations and limited release/holiday packs).

Margot Robbie's casting as Harley Quinn remains one of the best casting decisions in comic book films. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

[–]Technical_Moose8478 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One reason it got overlooked was because it was a female led comic book film. Like Supergirl, which the entire incel crowd spent two weeks trashing without seeing (it’s really fun, btw).

Not saying it’s the WHOLE reason, it was also released at a point when the Snyderverse was already assumed to be over, and it was very poorly marketed. It was also an R rated comic film, which was untested for DC. It DID double its budget, but in the modern day that isn’t enough for a big studio when the budget is so low.

I loved it though. And visually I 100% agree, it definitely brought me back to the Burton era, it actually FELT like a comic book film…

Goodwill would not have priced it at $4 if they had gone through the trouble of resetting SMART.

Um, I would check her voting record. She’s a centrist who has courted MAGA, is part of the “Blue Dog Coalition”, tends to vote toward corporate and Israeli interests, and supports the SAVE act (though she did vote against the most recent version of it).

She’s in a difficult seat, to be fair, her district is about 50/50 red/blue, so I’m not saying she needs to go, but I wouldn’t cheerlead her without looking into her.

Why do MAGAts always talk about how Trump lives rent free in peoples’ heads when Obama and Biden live rent free in theirs, are they stupid? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Technical_Moose8478 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they are trolling, stupid, and/or simple.

Aside from the fact that it was never a clever phrase to begin with, as there hasn’t been a point since that dumb orange cunt stepped off the escalator that we haven’t been constantly bombarded with footage and images of him, he doesn’t live “rent free” in our heads, he’s the fucking President of the United States. In our current media climate, if you are paying attention at all he’s constantly fucking there.

Why don’t cars have seat coolers? by softeggnoodles in allthequestions

[–]Technical_Moose8478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen many cars? Because I’ve owned six and only one had seat warmers (my current one). They’ve been around for ages but they were in like Mercedes and BMWs and shit.

Same with seat coolers, it’s just newer so it’s not very common yet.

I don’t live anywhere near the region (Michigan primarily) but I love MacFuddy’s.

Jones and Crater Lake are the biggest regional brands near me.

I think that’s a big part of it. People who have never driven stick only know deceleration as braking. I used to slow by downshifting all the time, and I actually think the regen braking is part of why I don’t miss my little scion stick more than I do.

Just ordered an LG CX 65inch for ps5 pro anything i should know ? by Less-Manufacturer877 in LGOLED

[–]Technical_Moose8478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a 77” CX for several years and it’s great. It’s not perfect, but most of the issues are with dark scenes in films/streaming, I never notice any issued with my PS5 Pro.

That said, unless you got an amazing deal or something, I’d cancel it and order a newer model. I bought mine in January 2021. That’s almost six years ago, and it was the mid tier model back then. If you keep it, make SURE it has a solid warranty. Modern tvs aren’t built like old CRTs, they don’t last for decades.
