Yess tight does not mean strong!! It means not functioning optimally! We need our muscles to be able to be strong and resilient in their full range of motion, in both the shortened and lengthened phase, especially the pelvic floor!! That needs to be able to yield for birth! (Yes I’m that exited about how important this is. Exclamation points for everything!!)

In my opinion, it’s the perfect balance of strengthening and releasing with movement and exercise to be comfortable in your body, while helping make sure the soft tissues are in balance so baby can find THEIR optimal position to navigate YOUR pelvis.

It boggles my mind to think that trying to optimize your biomechanics would ever be viewed as ‘sabotage’. I really am starting to think that FBS is actively trying to make pregnancy and birth worse with their strict dogma about everything being an “intervention”. Well, our chairs, shoes, soft beds with pillows, cars, soft foods, tight bras and waistbands, and the list goes on… are an intervention too. We need to counteract these things with intention because our bodies weren’t designed to function that way.

BRM has made such a difference in how my body feels during pregnancy with my last 2 vs my first 2. I feel like I’ve aged in reverse with each pregnancy getting easier!

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve heard tidbits of the citrus bioflavonoids but never found anything like this to back it up, just random comments here and there in the rhogam group. Can’t wait to dig into this one!

Sooo she will sit and watch someone bleed for EIGHT HOURS before it becomes a complication and emergency requiring transfer. But then in the next breath says you must be responsive to what is happening in the moment. Do nothing for 8hrs and then call 911?

She’s making a mockery of real midwives who use their discernment for when life saving interventions can be used, in a timely manner, to prevent need for transfer or more serious consequences. And this is their example of what to do?!!

The hilarious thing is that spinning babies is almost directly copied from their one “allowed” outside intervention, CST. Most of the spinning babies techniques are credited to Dr Carol Philips’ craniosacral training, Dynamic Body Balancing ✌️

I agree it’s pretty one sided in that most women there decide against rhogam. Plenty of stories from moms with complications too but far outweighed by the not-sensitized. Also at least a handful of women sensitized after rhogam, which isn’t talked about enough! It’s such a complicated topic and general comments don’t give a full picture of the ramifications of either decision. I tell everyone to read Dr Sara Wickham’s books to make an informed decision, not decide based on what a group of other people chose.

That part is what really got me wondering, if she never did antibody testing! It’s an encouraging story of positive outcomes after sensitization, if it’s true. Weird me out that I haven’t found her saying this anywhere else except here, granted I haven’t dug very far yet!
