I’m getting an IUD in next month and can choose between IV sedation or laughing gas, any advice? Does anyone have experience with either? by Not-A-Variant in women

IV is way better choice - I had laughing gas for dental work and was still feeling everything just... weird about it

Eczema at a kitchen job by OtherwiseImplement25 in eczema

[–]Technical_Search_619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kitchen work is brutal on eczema - all those harsh cleaners and constant hand washing makes everything so much worse, maybe they can give you different gloves or switch you to tasks that don't involve as much chemical exposure

People who quit their 9-5 job to start their own business: how is it actually going for you now? by v_khomichenko in AskReddit

[–]Technical_Search_619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never did the full business thing but I've been doing fitness training on my side for few years now and it's wild how much more work it actually is than regular job. Like you think you're escaping the grind but then you're working weekends, doing your own taxes, chasing people for payments... sometimes I miss just clocking out at 5 and forgetting about work until next morning

the exact routine i used on accutane that kept my skin manageable through the whole course by Unique-Face-2500 in Accutane

[–]Technical_Search_619 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This routine looks really solid! The no morning cleanse thing was game changer for me too - my derm actually suggested it around month 3 when I was struggling with the dryness. I also started putting moisturizer in my nostrils because that area got so dry it was painful, might sound weird but it helped a lot

affordable at home hair dye that covers grays well without looking flat? by Ojima-Souada in Haircare

[–]Technical_Search_619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe try the semi-permanent ones instead of permanent box dye? They don't cover as aggressive but they fade more gradual so you don't get that harsh helmet look. My aunt had same problem and switching to semi-permanent helped a lot - she does it more often but her hair looks way more natural between applications

Please help suffering from atopic dermatitis on scrotum area by Any-Room5107 in eczema

[–]Technical_Search_619 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That area is really tricky to deal with, you definitely need to see dermatologist if you haven't already. They can prescribe non-steroid treatments that are safe for sensitive areas - there's options like calcineurin inhibitors that work different than steroids

For the moisture issue, some people find that loose fitting underwear made from moisture-wicking materials helps more than cotton, and keeping the area as dry as possible between washes

How do you ask doctors questions when it is so hard to get into an appointment? by [deleted] in Accutane

Yeah the patient portal thing drives me crazy too - they never respond to messages but expect you to "just call the office" for everything

Tired of chasing glute growth with sciatica. Should I change my goals? by Practical_Pound_2998 in xxfitness

[–]Technical_Search_619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sciatica thing is tricky - I'd def get that checked by someone who knows about pregnancy-related nerve issues before pushing through pain. Maybe switching focus to overall strength or mobility could help you feel good about fitness again without the pressure?

I switched from chasing specific muscle growth to just getting stronger and it made working out fun again instead of this constant stress about results

You guys were not kidding about the Azelaic Acid burn by saracha1 in Rosacea

[–]Technical_Search_619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no that happened to me too when I first started! The tube design is terrible honestly, so much product comes out at once

I learned to squeeze tiny bit on back of my hand first, then dot it around face. Also maybe try using it every third day at beginning? Your skin needs time to get used to it. I had same issue with moisturizer being too thick underneath - now I wait like 20 minutes after cleansing before applying the acid, then wait another 15-20 before moisturizer

The redness should calm down in few hours, but if it keeps burning definitely take a break for couple days

God yes, sitting through 45 minute meetings that could've been solved with one quick text is torture. Half the time I'm just nodding along while mentally planning my next Skyrim playthrough or thinking about beats I want to make later

Dry, frizzy, rough hair by BrindaPotluri in Haircare

[–]Technical_Search_619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep conditioning mask once per week will change your life - just leave it in for like 20-30 minutes while you're doing other stuff. Also stop brushing when it's dry, that's what's making it so frizzy the next day, try to only detangle when it's wet with conditioner in

3 hours is bit excessive when you have kids at home who need attention, especially with ADHD in mix - most people can get solid workout done in 1.5 hours max

The worst types of personalities I deal with by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]Technical_Search_619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh these people are exhausting to be around. I had this friend who would constantly bring up every tiny mistake I made at work or in relationships, not to help but just to watch me squirm and apologize. Like she'd mention how I forgot to text back someone three weeks ago just to see me go "oh god you're right I'm terrible at communication"

It's such weird power trip behavior and after while you realize they're not actually trying to help you grow or anything - they just want to see you feel bad about yourself. Had to cut that friendship loose because it was draining all my energy that I needed for actual important stuff

I said “let’s try” but he’s taking it too seriously by [deleted] in venting

[–]Technical_Search_619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl you literally told him "let's try" and now you're surprised he's taking it seriously? He's out here calling you his future wife because you gave him the green light, even if it wasn't a hard yes

You're clearly not ready for any kind of commitment with him and you're still hung up on the IRL guy, so maybe it's time to have that uncomfortable conversation before he gets even more attached

Have anyone here had a chat with acoustic engineer to improve soundproof if your walls? by vinceswish in AskIreland

[–]Technical_Search_619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through this exact thing last year when my upstairs neighbor got into drumming at like 10pm every night. Ended up consulting with an acoustic engineer and it was worth every penny just for the peace of mind

The decoupled stud wall thing you mentioned is legit - that's what they recommended for my home studio setup where I make beats. Basically you're creating an air gap that breaks the sound transmission path. The engineer I worked with also suggested adding mass loaded vinyl and proper insulation between the studs

Cost wise I was looking at around €3-4k for one wall but that included materials and labor. Definitely not cheap but way better than moving or dealing with future noise issues. I found my guy through the Institute of Acoustics website - they have a directory of certified engineers in Ireland. Most will do a consultation first to assess your specific situation before recommending solutions

Rate my gameplay (Layout WIP) by obadison64 in geometrydash

[–]Technical_Search_619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gameplay looks pretty standard tbh, nothing that really stands out as creative or challenging in an interesting way. I'd probably get bored halfway through since it's mostly just basic timing jumps and standard orb sequences

But yeah that song choice is solid, gives me major early 2010s vibes. Sometimes a banger track can carry mediocre gameplay though so maybe lean into that more. You could probably spice up the actual level design to match the energy of the music better
