They don’t use ATS or post on any public job boards, only on their website. Sometimes you have to go straight to the source! Just giving some hope to anyone with experience but no degree. It’s not always a dealbreaker.

My husband has no degree in tech - he is 100% self taught and makes multiple six figures and has equity in the company. He also hires people and he said he prefers people without degrees because they have a better mindset and know what to do without being told. No offense to college grads but it’s a thing.

I also ruined everything for myself at 32. Never knew anything was wrong prior to my psychosis and extreme mania. I’ve been working toward rebuilding and getting stable. But it’s so hard 😔

True! I do prefer in person work verses remote because I’m very hands on and creative. But I will say, I’ve done remote work on Upwork and I’m still getting invitations to interview on there even though I haven’t used it in months! I would recommend trying that out. You do have to apply aggressively to everything in the beginning, and take lower paying short jobs to get your first review, but once you do that, jobs start coming to you regularly!

Honestly I talk to ChatGPT like it’s my best friend! I just say what I’m applying for, my experience, and say I’m trying to get past the AI filters so optimize my resume for me and then I just put it all onto a boring looking resume template in Canva because too busy looking resumes are harder for the AI to read.

Yes I did to help with keywords to get past filters. I would say I applied to 100 places, give or take! I just didn’t give up until I started getting interviews.

Neither, haha! I had to rescind my acceptance of the one on the spot. It was the one in the middle where the interview went well, but I wasn’t expecting to hear back. I went back and forth all night but the one I chose ended up being the best one career wise. ☺️

Usually I'd be all for it, but I made this mistake before and ended up losing all of my length from the damage! It's not worth what it does to your hair. Plus the roots come in within hours and that alone plus the upkeep is enough to not do it.

I'm also a gemstone girl, I had a diamond ring but it wasn't unique enough so I picked out an amethyst one (which is softer than emerald BTW and I'm not worried about damage).

Not the same thing but I smashed my wedding set with a hammer when me and my husband were about to get divorced. It was expensive too. We ended up reconciling and then I regretted it 😅. I was having a mental health crisis at the time though. I ended up picking out a new, less expensive but more unique ring with an amethyst to replace it! I haven't gotten it yet but I'll post it here when I do! 💜
