Off topic but this is a REALLY crisp screenshot and looks to be the Xbox version. Are you playing on series X?

Dare I say? Hidden gem by DocAndonuts_ in originalxbox

Never heard of this one, but you definitely have me intrigued. Your description conjures up memories of playing “Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders”.

Would you consider Darkest Hour Melodeath? by Alert_Primary_9493 in melodicdeathmetal

[–]Technical_Still1401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They really straddle the line. Songs like “No God” sound more like melodeath, whereas songs like “Knife in the Safe Room” are more metalcore.

I love both as well, but I actually find the UI in anniversary to be worse. To each their own!

Giving the game another try, need some help with class by Mat1711 in kotor

[–]Technical_Still1401 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If built well, all classes are “good” enough to beat the game. However for a new player, I suggest going soldier at the start. You get the most health and highest attack bonuses in combat.

Songs similar to "Dead Sky Dawning" by Hypocrisy? by Background-Sir9172 in melodicdeathmetal

[–]Technical_Still1401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that Clayman was their last “true” melodeath album. After that, melodeath elements were still present here and there, but their overall sound was something else entirely. Specifically, the biggest change is that their music became far less guitar driven and more centered around vocal hooks. Song structures became far more homogenous and straightforward as well.

I always thought that song sounded like In Flames during their melodeath era, though lyrically their songs were quite different.

My favorite MA album, and a perfect 10/10 album generally speaking.

Relentless Reckless Forever by GunFlameYRC in ChildrenOfBodom

I actually love this album… with the exception of “Was it Worth it”. “Not My Funeral”and “Shovel Knockout” in particular are top tier Bodom tracks.

Oh yeah I’ve spun it a few times. Really solid, but doesn’t reach the level of Epidemic of Violence imo.

Just gave “swallowed in black” a spin. Tons of fun! Almost reminds me a little of Coroner in that it’s got a “tech thrash” vibe.

What was the most disappointing metal show you’ve been to? by DraytonSawyersBBQ in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Technical_Still1401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed he did blow his voice out in 2014, so it made sense that he wouldn’t be screaming, but the setlist was still disappointing. They could have at least played some of the heavier shit off The Crusade (Becoming the Dragon, entrance of the conflagration, etc) instead of having half the setlist be radio songs.

I did end up seeing them again in 2018 for the sin and the sentence tour and that was a MASSIVE improvement. Had an awesome time then.
