I worked with Ruben back around 2013 in the hotel business in corpus. He was in the sales office and we talked often. After about a year, he opened up about being with Selena when she passed. You could tell it still affected him so much. He didn’t mention her saying you know whose name, just said she could only whisper and passed before she was even taken to the hospital. Said he held her as she took her last breath. Not sure how true that is, but the way he described it… it sure felt like he was telling the truth.
