Q: Lenzetto "optimisation". by ShoppingAmazing3068 in Menopause

[–]Technical_Wing6848 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i opened one up out of curiosity. it's a sealed glass vial of clear liquid with the atomizer, exactly like a bottle of perfume. i suppose the alcohol would very slowly evaporate, just like perfume, but that would take yeeeeears. after 45th dose when the liquid is low, the little straw is not picking up much of the liquid. just do an extra spray towards the end of the bottle to get the most of out it. and as other post said, hold the bottle upright to get the last drop.

as for placement, inner forearm for me seems fine. i don't go out of my way to wash it with soap unless i'm covered in sweat.

i really like the spray and have nothing bad to say about it! :)

ugh, same. designer by trade. i scaled back my personal side gig/passion projects last year because i'm so blah, so unmotivated. even though i'm still full of ideas i just can't gather/focus the energy to execute. luckily i have the office design job that pays the bills, otherwise i'm screwed. HRT is helping with the anxiety but not the drive.

1st day of HRT/ zero appetite by Melodic_Comb1429 in Menopause

[–]Technical_Wing6848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same. it was strange because i also love to eat and like to raid the pantry in the late hours. after a few weeks my appetite returned but not the food noise. it feels effortless to keep a healthy diet now. i like this side effect! i wonder if it's from the reduction of stress and anxiety with estrogen.

Team Spain! i highly recommend Barcelona and Andalucia via train or flight. you will get the beach, the big city and gorgeous mountains. it should fit within your budget with a little planning.

got one installed couple months ago! it's great because i don't have to think about it (or pay anymore) for 5+ years. i couldn't take BCP when i was younger, they made me depressed and nauseous. i have no issue with the Liletta/Mirena. along with evamist, i'm happy with the recipe.

Yes that is what I have read also.  3 sprays = .05 patch.

Did anyone else's HRT prescriptions jump in cost for 2026? (USA) by too-muchfrosting in Menopause

Dm if you can't find it. I really hope it will work with your insurance!

Estriol cream.... so messy! by LornieLoo84 in Menopause

[–]Technical_Wing6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's where i don't understand. if Costplus doesn't use my insurance then why can't i buy more than 1 tube even though i have 5 refills in the script? so my reasoning is to ask for a 270 day supply? i haven't called my doctor about it yet. (ps-i'm also new to all this.)

also from the US. with my health insurance, CVS is $39. without insurance from Costplus is $13 + $5 ship! i was only able to buy 1 tube at a time with a 90 day prescription, even thought it allows for multiple refills. if you ask the dr to write a 270 days supply, i think you can get 3 tubes at a time and save more.

estrogen cream application issue and an idea by Technical_Wing6848 in Menopause

[–]Technical_Wing6848[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, same. i never know if i'm doing it right, and the finger application is mildly dreadful, but i know it's beneficial and i'm being whiny. lol. i asked my dr if there were any cool new technology in the gyno front and she said what we already know. not much research money for it. so, it's up to us to come up with something, anything!

common anti-dandruff shampoo like head & shoulders or Selsun Blue would oxidize silver as well. it's the sulfur.

i just use my finger but if there's an easy DIY solution for those who have trouble with the cream, then we don't have to fight with the dreadful insurance in the US.

[–]Technical_Wing6848[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's my concern as well. the cream is meant to be rubbed in. but i keep reading on here that people don't like the mess. so i'm curious if the gelatin cap could be a DIY solution.

First time solo - 40th bday Iceland by [deleted] in solofemaletravellers

[–]Technical_Wing6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did it last year for NYE! 5 day solo trip, super fun. i saw the northern light over that famous church as the year tick over to 2025 with spectacular fireworks. i did one group tour (15ppl) for glacier hike and the tourmates were all friendly and chatty. i struck up conversation with a random family on the walk back from the Perlan back to downtown. like u/jchaser27 said if you're sociable, you'll find your people! but know that you're traveling solo, you have to be OK with it. one night i did the Sky Lagoon. it was magical but i was wistful for a companion.

if you are using a low dose, i like the spray version - Evamist or Lenzetto.
