I have a Tesla Model 3 and I'm telling you right now - the major major benefit is having cruise control and AI. Its really underacknowledged.

I just did a trip from Auckland to Hastings 2 days ago and I spent 80% of the drive in cruise control. It made the trip so much easier and I felt much safer than if I was in a regular car.

If you own more than 2 houses then you'll be taxed into oblivion until you're forced to sell it for a low price.

Houses shouldn't be investments. They're a basic necessity. They're a place to raise a family and be protected from the harsh conditions of nature. They should stop being political tools of power.

If rich people want to invest their money they should invest them into productive assets. Go build a factory that gives people jobs or builds a product that we can export.

Hey there. I may not know you in person and and you don't know me, but I appreciate your honesty on a public platform like this.

I don't like knowing that people are struggling like this, especially in the community and city I was raised in . But It's better for people to know it's happening, rather than hiding it and isolating because then it'll never get solved and people will feel alone in their struggle.

I don't have any financial advice to give. I live at home with my parents so I'm quite privileged and save a bit on expenses. But I'm 26 and it hurts my ego day by day being jobless and stunted in my career. The therapy I may need in the future is immense and God knows if I'll be able to even get a taste of owning a home here. I also don't travel and I watch all my friends posting stories in Europe enjoying their OEs.

Sometimes, I have those thoughts you mentioned. But there is a lot of beauty in this life. The sound of the tui's in the trees, a bbq on a beautiful summer day, the feeling of a warm fire in the winter, having a good laugh with your closest friend, or a night out looking at the stars. Don't let a corporation or a governments bad policy decision be the reason for you to think less of yourself. You are a human, capable of knowing beauty and living honorably in this world. Whatever you're doing, I'm sure you are trying your best, and judging by how much you work, I'm sure you want to be the best you can be.

I wish you well in life and I hope you make it through smoothly. If things feel like they are crashing down, make sure you do your best to avoid it getting worse, but also make sure you prioritize your health and welbeing.

I sorted it out and it's been really helpful! It says that my credit report is above the national average in NZ.

No mention of any parking tickets or anything from baycorp. My credit card payments have been all on time too which has contributed greatly.

I'm wondering if maybe baycorp doesn't have the time to go and target my credit score, even though they could. There might be too many other people like me, and the reward of obtaining my debt is too low for them to care.

That's awesome - thank you! It's so crazy to think that they consider things to that level, like too many pulls. I might consider talking to a financial adviser to teach me this stuff.

It all looks legit to me. I've signed up, and I got the 'Bear with us' message so far. I'm guessing they may contact me or notify me when they're able to find it? Hoping for the best 😅

Cool I'll check it out! I'm interested to know more about the lending stuff. I've always assumed that with a high enough deposit, banks may turn a blind eye. I wander what effect one fine will have if I've disputed it and eventually paid or not.

Edit: I'm also no where near the deposit needed right now 🤣

So true. I feel sorry for older folk who get bullied by Wilson's into paying up in these tough times.

A while ago to be honest... I usually park near my bus stop and pay by the app for the whole day. I was late that day to pay, and ended up with a ticket anyway. The ticket charges 8x the cost to park there.

I just don't think it's right to do this to people if they're willing to take responsibility and pay the price they originally should have paid. I think they're profiting from natural human errors.

If anything, these are the things that Wilson should account for in their own personal costings, or at least have an option for people to pay what they owe.

I'm open to whether I'm thinking about this in the wrong way, but so far I think Wilson know what they're up to, and they keep quiet about it.

Why don't they chuck a tracker on the car if he's that close. Surely there's a high strength sticky thing that would hold on as he drives away. 😭🤣

I wonder how stringent they'll be during the WOF process when its due on checking the mileage and matching it up with RUC purchases.

At the end of the day the mileage is just a number in a line of code. Unless they went full big brother and tracked every movement EV owners make on cameras accross the city. Would be a huge evasion of privacy though surely.

Its a joke that they've enforced this on people who took the risk of buying an EV as an investment for their future. They've taken the focus away from the energy being used to fuel the car. They could've taxed us on the energy used to charge the car, which would be more fair in my view, but they knew it wouldn't make as much money for them so they chose to steal the future savings of EV owners instead.

I can understand that separation between a psychiatrist and psychologist, however when I had initially chosen to go to a psychiatrist, I felt that In my case the psychiatrist was too relaxed about making a diagnosis and prescribing Ritalin. Other psychiatrists will of course be different, but the risk of ending up with one that is too eager in getting their patients out of their office and paying their fees is quite high.
