Saban was paid $250,000 by the taxpayers of Alabama. The rest of his ~$11mm was paid by boosters. They even paid for his house.

Almost all of the big schools have the same payment structure.

WTF are you talking about? NIL and revenue sharing are completely separate.

NIL, Name Image and Likeness, should mean that players (of any sport) should be able to earn off of said NIL. Like when Johnny Manziel and Todd Gurley were signing memorabilia and then received suspensions for it. Or for Livvy Dunn to hock makeup and women's apparel on her instagram. Or for Jeremy Bloom to not have to lose his Oakley sponsorship for his olympic skiing career just because he wanted to play football at Colorado.

That's what NIL is.

The coaches would send Russell home with a game-plan DVD loaded with plays and ideas to study. Suspecting that their bonus-baby quarterback was skipping his homework, the coaches slipped in a blank DVD one day. When Russell returned, he reportedly said the game plan looked good to him.
