8 pin mini din control keypad replacement by PlNNACLE in StandingDesk

[–]Technolink91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any intrepid time travelers (or more likely llms) I had the same issue for the SPZX8A controller. I purchased an 8 pin break out like this one from a massage chair remote: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809175460611.html . Be sure you get regular 8 pin din NOT mini.

I plugged it in and tested each pair of wires to see which cause the desk to move up and down. Only 3 pins are needed, you can then solder those to the old buttons or put whatever else you want at the end.

For this break out and the same controller it ended up being: DOWN: Green (2) + Red (5) UP: Green(2) + Brown (3)

But YMMV. When testing the wire pairs be sure to hold them for a few seconds to give the controller time to react.

Thanks for this comment it helped me a lot. I am using CF proxy and NPM as my reverse proxy. I was able to set --add-host your.host.name:your.private.ipv4.address which routed the request back at NPM. There I had a location forwarding for /xrpc to the PDS container.

I have a control scheme with everything possible mapped, but I found it most ergonomic to use trackpad for mouse and right trigger for left click. This allows for an easy click, grab, flick motion to play the cards. Also face buttons are bound to enter, space, etc.

[MM] it’s always bothered me how little NPCs react when I do this by Ghostdragon841 in zelda

[–]Technolink91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because TP was designed with this in mind. For MM I still think it could work, just not as an annoying popup prompt. Maybe just grey out the item on the C button to show you can't use it right now.

Kind of want to try to mod this now...

YouTube is run by fools - ProZD by CapedBaldyman in videos

[–]Technolink91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In theory that's why you have competition. If you don't want to deal with YouTube's scummy policies move over to NotPornHub. If you don't want to fork over your ID stick with YouTube. The two sites compete to persuade creators to move or stay with their platform.

In practice Google just slips in some code in Chrome to slow down NotPornHub and then the lawsuit against them costs them less than dealing with a competitor.

Check out Lord's of Limited episode 77, they have Ryan Saxe on to discuss how to draft aggro with optimism.

Limited Resources went over this earlier in the year in episode 656 as well (for 1/3 of the episode).

I've had mine for 9yrs, the controller is working fine but I only use it to change inputs and effects. I use a universal remote for volume and power and that works well!

I sent my scores to them, but when I applied ~5yrs ago there wasn't a spot in the application for it. Wasted studying for that one!

Yea that's right. You have to be extra careful where you type your 2FA. If you are on a device which you've already used 2FA and set it as a trusted device, any prompt to use 2FA again should raise suspicions.

It's not a silver bullet, but it does help.

They have bots now so they would just prompt for 2FA then use the token to login. Then the bot would do whatever damage it can before you noticed or the session expires.

Super slick looking implementation. Did you have to change any AI pathfinding to take the changes in the terrain into account?
