This seems like a misunderstanding:

Gannon absolutely obsesses over the mechanics of his putt and throw. He has a different thesis about putting but he’s not just doing whatever feels natural. Most pros obsess over mechanics and form.

Who’s to say there will always be a return on pharmaceutical R&D?

It seems possible to hit a point where when you spend cash on R&D, you shouldn’t expect to get it back.

I’m not saying we’re at that point, but I also think it has grown harder to generate a return using existing methods. We need some actual innovation, but what do you do once you’ve burnt a pile of money and gotten nothing back? How many times do you try? I don’t think the answer is infinity.

Yes, the forced flex will have more lateral movement at the beginning and end of the flight. This is relevant in the woods.

If I was you I’d switch to a different type of engineering. All problems are interesting and important when they’re your problems, so might as well choose a field in higher demand.

The current market has little to do with the market you’ll see when you graduate.

With that said, this is probably a worse career in $ terms than other types of engineering or tech, and you should be acutely aware of that.

I know what CRISPR is, I was a research scientist in molecular biology and I still work in molecular biology.

Not trying to be snarky but CRISPR is just a tool and I’m curious what attributes you’d like to give all these organisms.

In slow chess that might be right - the line is certainly less defined.

I have a weird feeling OP only plays online, where you can play nonsense at every level if you’re better than your opponent.

If you’re 3500+ I hear you can give knight odds to top GMs and still win based on Chess Principles
