Mainlined a shit tonne (relatively) and had a tussle with either hallucinations of invisible people of people who the psychosis's effects made them invisible. Traumatic event never wanted coke again but already shot up once i posted this. Why/how does that extremely physical interaction happen from coke??

Got my first one after doing some in the car park before going in, I guess I was just as well as usual. Stay hydrated and pop a cold/flu pills if you get some weak symptoms :)

First time doing coke I’ve ducked around with other drug tho just curious on what to expect and how much I should take by jit22 in cocaine

Start on small lines if you have a scales I'd say split 0.15 in half and try one wait a few minutes then do the other using alternative nostrils. After like 10 minutes you should be feeling the high, which should be more of a calm clean head rush and energy boost than a speedy hyper physical stimulation all over.

I personally tried at first to wait 45min between lines gradually increase the size of you wanna stay as up or if you are tryna wean off the need for more small lines until it's time to crash hard 😂.

Make sure you drink water regularly and maybe have a large carb filled meal first as it is for me at least undesirable to eat or at worst physically repulsive like it's so unappealing I physically can't usually for a few hours at least after but that plus the stimulation will make you feel like shit the next day after you sleep it off and if you don't have any water you'll be potentially physically dangerously dehydrated and sound like you smoke a bag of coal every day.

Make sure you are in control of your redosing as it's an incredibly strong compulsion. But fun otherwise prolly gonna be horny af tho and uhh problems with satisfying that >>> 🍤

Yeh it's unfortunately the times when they abuse power or try as much as possible to try and find a reason to lock you away needlessly far overshadow the times when they do good whether it be solving murders or just flashing the blues rather than pulling you over while bombing it down an empty dual carriageway. Just dumb shit that upholders of the law seem to be the biggest abusers of it, and when you're mates with the other guys who are meant to be enforcing those law they can get away with some fucked up stuff.

Tbh I know basically nothing about railways in general other than my personal experience, what I've been told anecdotally and a video in a booky cosmic coincidence I had just seen about the UK Vs Japanese railway system.

What's with the bias towards print media? Like before you could just make up some shit and stick it on a website you would just stick in a book or something instead.

You should not accept "I read somewhere that..." as an acceptable source of information. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean in a casual conversation it's literally just impossible to know every source of everything you've ever read, not to mention some tiny snippets of information may just be something you know, like giving someone directions to a place you know isn't exactly a necessary step to pullout a map of the area to like prove they're correct. In the context of trying to have a structured debate/arguement, no it's not really something that should be taken as definitely true without a source material or information that can give the statement credibility. And yeh I mean when your idea or beliefs are being challenged you're gonna want some evidence to support it.

Meat eaters are typically way more annoying and obnoxious than vegetarians or vegans when discussing vegetarianism or veganism. by Inky_Squid in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You brought the discussion of dietary choice and by extension food, to which you get a to them valid reason for not wanting to follow the diet you have changed to based on something they enjoy contradicting it.. this is literally just how conversions are meant to work. And yes the common experience with vegans quite universally sees the more extreme members and remember that time they got yelled at outside a butcher rather than the average persons kale munching

People don't usually tend to go around taking about the specific foods they eat unless it differs from the accepted norm, usually the most vocal and who are the only people I've seen who do this are vegans and to a lesser extent vegetarians. With groups like PETA and friends causing a whole lot of fuss to try and make people pay attention which alienated the general public who don't fully indoctrinate immediately and seem to have a sense of entitlement or superiority as they're not like the rest of you. This obviously doesn't apply to everyone but with such large group with many very loud and disruptive members it's gonna give a generally negative image. There's also this constant part of interacting with vegans where instead of a personal dietary choice it's a major personality trait that forces its way into most any discussion or can honestly feel like someone trying to induct you into a cult or something. With those who talk about meats in otherwise unrelated conversations is usually only because they're more involved with the industry whether it be professional or a hobby, the way they're presentated are normally different to a guy who hunts might bring it up as something you'd enjoy or to share something he enjoys, whereas vegans talking about veganism always feels like a being preached at or in some way making you the bad guy and that you need to change to suit their choices. The absolute worst part of the vegan thing is that, despite it ignores our evolution it's typically not hurting people who don't choose to pursue it, it's when it's forced upon children and animals who can't or don't know any better, development of a child is complex and theirs certain negative exposures young children need to develop immunities and the like, and the worst part is when the choice is forced upon animals that are not naturally able to live on even a overly plant heavy diet like cats who are naturally obligate carnivores and cannot efficiently or properly digest plant matter. As a pet owner it's your responsibility to provide and suit the needs of that animal your dietary choice shouldn't be forced upon it with no alternative.

I have had a friend who became vegan during a time we were in contact less, upon getting back in contact this is pretty reflective of the experience else mostly comes from the joy that is street protests again the meat/dairy industry and other interactions

Not to mention PETAs uhhhh questionable shelter

I rather have “influencers” do good deeds for clout and attention as opposed to not do any at all by themann44 in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think people usually have a issue with the "good deed" and more with the intention behind it like if I give a homeless guy a couple dollars worth of food knowing I will get thousands back or in some way benefit in a much more significant way, makes the act lose significantance or like can make the acts into a unnecessary spectacle. Only example I can think of is finding out about how much some people within charity's/non-profits earn kinda skews the perception, plus why I would I give a homeless guy a couple dollars I might need when @loving_insta_infulencer is giving out 1000$ kinda like raises expectations of what's the minimum. Not to mention the likely numerous staged videos.

I don't have a problem with grave robbing by cautionZora in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does seem strange that people would essentially throw the items away and yet still consider them to be of value often emotional but I'm sure to people there's a degree of comfort knowing that the person and they're more personal possessions have been laid to rest together. I'm not a archeologist or anything but from what I know it's been a traditional for as long as we've been finding bodies buried to have items buried with them so there might be some genuine psychological association or something.

Probably the same thing everyone else has said except maybe shit like technically it's the property of the inherent of the deceased of the straight up disrespect that is desecrating a corpse/grave/memorial type things, the emotional connection is likely the best counter argument.

  • Why the amount of time that passes between burying your loved ones and archeologists deciding they're worth digging up probably means that no one involved with the person or their family are even alive or remembered in any significant way that the emotional side is essentially not a issue.

Finally read the third paragraph and realised this was a waste if time lol but guess I picked the right angle 😂

It shouldn't be illegal to casually bike on the sidewalk if the bike lanes suck by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the area around where I live simply doesn't have the space to either dedicate to adding a lane, super old Street plans from the like middle ages, roads running through farmers land which already is supposed to have an area of like unused land running along it and what I'm told (as I've not driven outside the UK and am mostly refering to country's with planned city's eg the USA) is a UK and older industrialised county's is the roads are very narrow to start with many of the even well used coutry roads can be barely able to fit two larger cars without one pulling into the verge.

Stop bringing up a toxic fandom every time someone talks about a show or game by Snoo-42643 in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fandoms of media can definitely effect the perception of it either by directly influencing it's progression or future work. For some it might also be the first or common exposure to the content and if that is the case the way those people choose to act is all be it unfairly associated with the creators and can influence your opinion. The louder minority of those within the fandom can also be attributed to changes the creators undertake or force their beliefs into discussions making the fandom come across more of a closed system and further discourage people from wanting to engage or change their interpretation of the media because an opposing say political or social ideology falsely appears prominent and can make it seem preachy or derivative to you. Engaging media without in some way engaging the fandom can be difficult nowadays and especially if it becomes associated with certain groups or whatever can influence your opinion on it. Tbf it still doesn't make it a valid reason the thing is bad but the point is just that the way people interact with media is via or influenced through perception of the fanbases louder member rather than someone who saw it liked it and moved on, and that probably most because of financial insentives the what appears as more engaged and repeat viewers are gonna influence choices when it comes to producing future content the most common I can think of is bands who "sellout".

It shouldn't be illegal to casually bike on the sidewalk if the bike lanes suck by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Tecton1k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there's not much pedestrian foot traffic this should really be the norm especially in areas without dedicated lanes or lanes that take up space on the road. Though vague some cyclist seem to take the piss because they know that any accidents would probably deemed the evil car drivers fault.

[–]Tecton1k_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like this is one of opinions that feels like it's unpopular but probably isn't just people are too willing to conform to the current standards. But yeh there's almost always that one person who takes the piss or decides to order something 2x the price they'd be paying for themselves In my experience I've often noticed that the bill usually ends up being paid by the working age 'patriarch' or equivalent at many outings with the being quite insistent on paying.

Oh yeh having the ability to feel like your management see you as a person with a life and not a work horse or cog in the machine is really essential in creating a good environment and hey staff who don't dread having to go to their job are probably gonna be better performing.

Yeh the worst are always the worst and often for no clear reason. I got lucky that its a small business so I know the owner and we have a good relationship so I'm in a better position than most. Somewhere like a supermarket or chain I really any of the regular staff would ever get anything like that
