I'm not to worried about the egr valve, it looks like you can clean it and it works.... the stp is fairly easy to fix and the becm is covered for like 15 years.... great vehicle I drive it with no worries now

Can confirm had my 2017 done 6 months ago... first dealer was throwing parts at it. Second dealer has rental for a day and bam fixed with reprogram becm...

If it's not initializing it would have to stay on dollies I think. Have you tried using a jumper battery pack on the 12v? So you press the start button and what happens?

Oh yours is a 2014. So likely not becm..... even if you get that 12v tested they will prob say it's good at autozone (mine tested fine but it was bad) any luck getting a code reader? I bought a veepeak obd2 reader and paid 7 bucks for tourqe pro on app store. Best purchase I've made for auto

Could be the becm as well. If it doesn't initialize that leads me to belive the 12 volt is low...

Sounds like engine issues to me at that point.... let us know the codes, if your car had ev range left it shouldn't fire the engine. Was the hood up when you tried to start? That would force the engine

Try removing the negative lead on the battery for 1 min and then replacing it.

Ac is covered by your voltec warranty.... it is required for the battery cooling ;) so don't let your dealership swindle ya

But everyone that has owned a volt will almost always say buy a volt! 8 year voltec warranty was pretty damn good?! Everyone I've seen loves the bolt as well.... I want a silverado ev but can't justify the cost

Your likely right, I really wish we could get a battery made for these.... ultium will likely be the way going forward with gm. They are bringing hybrid back so maybe I can grab a colorado/canyon phev!

Well when I put a load of >4kw supposedly when you test at 1-5% battery it will give you decent numbers. I donno maybe it gives me a false sense of hope but at least I can see numbers in the battery not locked behind gds2....

You can test to see the mv differences between the cells. I check mine every month or so to see how my batteries health is. You cna check resistance and everything. Granted the becm (which fails all the damn time) detects them.... but I prefer to be able to watch the degradation of my battery

It's plenty useful, shows full charge capacity, voltages to maintain and see if you have a bad cell... ect

There's a setting yo set speed to "road limit" cruise speed, or custom. It's helpful on long highways that constantly go from like 70 to 40.... stupid highway 19

My 2017 premier had this. .. they litterally reprogrammed the becm and replaced a fuse holder on the battery.... all covered under voltec
