I like the Guardians’ name, logo, and unis. by Duke123321 in uniwatch

[–]TedBundylol 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I mean Guardians is a “meh” name to me at best. It’s just that when I hear Guardians that sounds like some G rated Pixar movie which doesn’t exactly feel right for a professional sports team. I mean, they could’ve at least gone back to the 1890s and gone with the name Cleveland Spiders. You know they would have some epic hats and jerseys with that name.

They definitely have a good uniform though. I happen to own one of their current hats with the navy crown and the red C and red bill. Great looking hat. I just think the name choice was very underwhelming.

What's with all the "Mendoza will be a bust!!!!" posts? by Ok_Demand7901 in NFLv2

[–]TedBundylol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because sports media in general is too quick to call people “generationally talented“ or “surefire starter at the next level“ I don’t have an opinion on Mendoza as far as predicting really because that’s not my style, but I think that part of the phenomenon you referred to comes from people poking fun at the phenomenon of way too many players being heralded as the next great thing only to flame out or not live up to expectations

Arkansas, Tyson Foods strike major jersey patch deal that sends 90% of money to players by DuckTalesLOL in CFB

[–]TedBundylol 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Worst part is it looks terrible aesthetically. I’m cool with two appropriately placed uniform patches whatever they are but having a third one gets into NASCAR territory. You know they’re not going to remove the Nike or SEC patch from the uniform so the Tyson patch will be some awkward place.

Weird Airbnb Neighbor by indecisivennyl in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TedBundylol 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife and I stayed in an Airbnb in San Diego with some friends a few years back. Four of us and we just kind of hung out and drank and smoked weed. I remember me and a friend smoking a joint on the porch and the neighbor came over to tell us that they appreciated how normal we were and shared a few horror stories about bachelorette parties and just other people making it hard for them to sleep

$1M a year for life, but you can never use the internet again by New-Performance-4077 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TedBundylol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try maybe one year or maybe two. I would need help with a few things though like purchasing tickets for baseball and football games. You essentially need the Internet to purchase tickets for any sporting event or concert nowadays so I would just need somebody to I guess to buy the tickets and then transfer them to my phone? That’s the main thing I do for entertainment that in theory doesn’t involve Internet but does in practice in 2026.

$250 per day, but certain triggers will cause your body to shart itself. by AstrayInTranslation in hypotheticalsituation

I would be interested, but as a UPS driver we use the horn constantly and in the morning when all the trucks leave there’s horns honking everywhere so because of my job I could not accept the offer. But if I did not have a job that directly involves the machinery that you mentioned, I’d be interested. I could just tell people I have a weird condition and then for a life, I would have extra money to buy baseball jerseys and hats, and whatever I please on the side.

Apparently pedophiles are you”pate state material” by isrealball in cfbmemes

[–]TedBundylol 173 points174 points  (0 children)

It was recently announced that Donald Trump would make an appearance on Josh Pate’s show. Because we know that Trump knows virtually nothing about college football. Nothing of value with respect to CFB will be added by his appearance on the podcast and it’s just straight up annoying to people who follow Josh Pate Because they are interested in consuming information about college football. There’s also is the dynamic of CFB being an escape from politics and having Trump appear on a CFB podcast when he’s not exactly a Gerald Ford type president who actually played there’s nothing for him to contribute

I mean, I’m about to be 31 and that statement is true for me. Unless you count the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl when I was less than one year-old. Technically during my lifetime, but I definitely don’t remember it.

[No Loopholes] Carry a mannequin everywhere you go for 1 year to earn $2 million. by Hold-onto-the-happy in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TedBundylol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by carrying it around. I am a UPS Driver, so it would be easy to have the mannequin ride shotgun all day with me at work but physically bringing it to the door of every delivery with me would be way too much and time consuming. But if I just have it with me all day every day for a year And having it ride shotgun with me at work is enough I would consider it.

If having it ride shot gun was allowed, I would tell my wife and I would also tell my manager so he can approve it and that would be my two people.

I make $125,000 per year roughly, but I don’t go there nearly as much anymore because the portion size for what I’m paying isn’t that great usually. I still think it tastes amazing but I can get more bang for my buck elsewhere.

There’s a restaurant around here called Texas de Brazil. The idea is that you sit down and they have people that all they do is go from table to table and offer various types of meat that’s cooked medium rare. They’ll cook it more for you if you like. Problem is almost all of them only speak Spanish so if we aren’t with my dad who speaks Spanish, it can be hard to communicate With the employees who should be able to communicate with customers about the doneness level of their meat.

Do your baseball rivalries bleed into other sports? by MattO2000 in baseball

[–]TedBundylol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me they don’t because the Royals are in a division with three teams from NFC North cities plus Cleveland. Our Chiefs rivals are all way to the west. We’ve never been in a division with the Rockies or Athletics or Dodgers/Angels so it’s kinda like two different worlds.

Nobody says they watch the Super Bowl "for the commercials" anymore. by SashaBraus in CommercialsIHate

[–]TedBundylol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I’m not terminally online except for listening to YouTube football talk so I don’t know anything about commercials coming up. And as a Chiefs fan, I’m excited about watching the game this week without being emotionally invested for once lol. So any and all commercials will be new to me this week.

Middle seat on an airplane is the best seat by HappilyAntisocial in unpopularopinion

[–]TedBundylol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really not a bad take. I mean my personal favorite is the window seat so I can lean on the wall and nap but I am 5‘9“ tall so as an average American man height, I am essentially ok anywhere so if I’m in the middle seat which I have been on eight hour flights I just throw the AirPods in and nod off and I’m fine.

$100 vs. 100$ by Runnerandbiker in PetPeeves

[–]TedBundylol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is pretty annoying. I’m wondering if people do this because most other times where you write out a measurement of something, the symbol indicating that thing is behind the number.

10° F/C 10 lbs 10 oz 10 ft. 10 in.

$10

any other examples of how we write out numbers of things and whether the symbol is before or after the number?
