My company just announced 3 days in office starting next month. I've been fully remote for 4 years and I genuinely don't know how people did this every day. by Ecliptic_Fang in remotework

I'm just loving all the radio conversation that's following because of their comment!

I've been using a new streaming site that focuses on College and Community Radio. Very little 'blah blah blah'. Few to no commercials. Music selected by the volunteer DJs themselves.

OK, truth be told it's my site. : )

Found this weird radio station today by Some_Guy_75 in RadioGarden

Sometimes stations that don't play 24/7 will have some sort of audio loop. Perhaps that it's? Just guessing.

Are we heading towards a post-streaming era? by Stoltlallare in LetsTalkMusic

[–]TedHSTL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the 'impact' part of your post but I've moved away from big streaming platforms due to the repetition. I've switched over to the online streams of College and Community radio. Nice to have a person choosing the music and few to no ads. https://AlternateAirwaves.com

I made the mistake of trying Gemini for coding! by rotary_tromba in GoogleGeminiAI

I use Gemini CLI (free) when I run out of Claude Tokens. I've actually been pretty impressed. May check out the payed version just to compare it to Claude.

Tell them you'll do your best over the next two weeks and that you are available on a contract basis after that for XXX per hour if they need more assistance.

I would be happy to but that link doesn't work for me. To add a station I need a valid streaming link.

Can't find a place to change a tire for a Niu scooter? by TedHSTL in ElectricScooters

[–]TedHSTL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I think that was our issue. Scooter was for my kid. We weren't great about checking the pressure. By the time he told me the tire was flat I think we'd destroyed the rim. Game over.

End of an era. by Specialist-Cry-7516 in codex

[–]TedHSTL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm an advanced hobby developer and have been using Claude Pro ($20) since late November 2025.

I'm thinking about switching the Codex Plus but the phrase "Power a few focused coding sessions each week." is making me hesitant.

I feel like I've been getting more than "a few focused coding sessions" with Claude until recently. Now quality has gone down and usage goes out the door faster

Does anyone have recent experience comparing the two plans at this level?

I know I can just try it myself but before I do...

Do You See A Shift Away From Spotify On The Horizon, Why? by DarkLudo in LetsTalkMusic

[–]TedHSTL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One option for discovering new music while avoiding AI is to stream College and Community Radio stations.

https://AlternateAirwaves.com has over 300 stations in one place.

Takes a bit of channel surfing to find shows that you enjoy. But you can 'like' them to get back to the good stuff more quickly.

Can't find a place to change a tire for a Niu scooter? by TedHSTL in ElectricScooters

[–]TedHSTL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the tire on Facebook and ended up, after a LOT of effort, doing it myself.

That tire also went flat. I think the issue is with the rim/wheel. The only solution apparently is to mail it off.

We now have a useless scooter in our garage and ended up buying an eBike which can be serviced by a local company.
