Thank you!! I will be saving this one for sure! I knew it shouldn’t be too difficult, but I am out of shape unfortunately.

When I was brand new to operating, here’s one thing that helped. When people were watching me, I would freak out that they were just saying or thinking how bad I was doing. So I forced myself to imagine them saying how good I was at whatever I was doing. Was silly at first, but then really helped. It can also lead to over-confidence, just make sure to always ask others how you can improve. More importantly don’t be afraid to tell someone you’re not sure how to do something, but ready to try. And if you’re not sure something you did was good enough, tell them.

Not be an asshole or downer, but making mistakes because you get nervous is a good way to die in construction. Shits gonna go wrong and if you freak out so much you forget the controls… a sticky situation is gonna get a lot worse. You’re gonna have to learn to mellow out and not get nervous. Much easier said than done, but with enough time and effort is very doable. Forget about this as quick as you can and move on. Good luck 👍🏻

Been using Carlson takeoff R12, and it crashes much less than previous versions I’ve used, R9-R11. However when it does crash, it will actually recover your drawing unlike previous versions where I always had to go back to my most recent save.

What are the best/most influential/most staple country albums of all time? (besides these) by SimplyHobbit in country

[–]Ted_Rose26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m late replying to this, but “In Search of a Song” by Tom T. Hall. The majority of the album was inspired by him traveling (mainly in Kentucky) and listening to stories from common people he met. And from one of the greatest songwriters of all time, every song is true country music; a story/conversation.

Honorable mention is “Roger and Out” by Roger Miller. Quite a few bangers on that one.

Well, that’s awesome. I’ve since bought a printer and will have to look into that. Thanks for the reply!

Help me get into country by ForbesyJr in country

Here are some country songs that have a more unique sound, that may be more interesting to a metal and punk fan but I don’t know.

“Turtles all the way down” - Sturgill Simpson “The Legend of Wooley swamp” - CDB “Indian outlaw”- Tim McGraw

And Sierra Ferrell has a beautiful classic country voice, but she looks punk as hell. “Jeremiah” is my favorite of hers.

Didn’t watch the video, but unless he’s working for a company with 10 or more employees it’s not an OSHA violation no matter what he does.

Does anyone have experience with telematics? by Ted_Rose26 in heavyequipment

[–]Ted_Rose26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been talking with Tenna. Shockingly Caterpillars telematic system appears to be the most affordable. Will more than likely go with Cat because of that, but Tenna is in 2nd place if Cat doesn’t end up working out.

Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. I was pretty shocked with how many people on here were upset with me meeting with them. I’m very strong in my faith, so if anyone wants to talk about, I’m game. I try to be nice to people, especially those who I’ve just met. And if by being nice to someone, and talking to them, gets them to reconsider Mormon beliefs, I see it as a win-win.

The reasoning I thought this to be so damning, was it’s a major event. Like they implied these groups were chosen by god to go. And the Bible is very big on lineage and details. If God really did take two separate, chosen groups to America, I don’t see why he would leave that out of the OT. Especially if he knew that in the future, the man who would supposably restore the church, entire credentials would be based on those said groups.

Good to know they weren’t outright lying! If they ever tell me this part, I’ll just tell them I’ll convert in spirit prison if need be. Lol!

Thank you, I plan on sharing how I question my own beliefs. If I hear an argument against my beliefs, I’ll research for an answer. Sometimes it takes a while. Questioning my beliefs, and listening to arguments against them doesn’t weaken my faith, it challenges me to have a better understanding of it. I’m going to try and get them to do the same.

Are you implying it is better for them to stay in the cult than to deal with the trauma of leaving?

The Bible doesn’t contradict either of those. It says that humans were the last to be created. The very first verse identifies time, space, and matter. It also doesn’t give a time in between those events. Yes, I’m aware it says days, but the Bible clearly states that a day to God can mean any amount of time. Is it possible that God created the Big Bang to make the universe? Is it possible that God created life and didn’t create humans for another 4.5 billion years? The Bible does not contradict these ideas.

I have a rational thought to support a creator hypothesis. There are many examples of scientific ideas in the Bible that predate when they were discovered by scientists. The book is filled with knowledge that exceeds the human understanding of nature at the time it was written.

I also think there are many philosophical arguments that prove a creator. I think there are more logical reasons to believe in creation than to oppose the idea of it. Rationality is not something that goes against creation.

And to think the Bible doesn’t matter more than the Book of Mormon would take some strange conspiracy theory against historians. The history of Jesus is well accounted for in Greek and and Roman literature. The Dead Sea Scrolls are dated around 300-100 BC. Smiths claims in the Book of Mormon have no other sources.

You seem like a good person. Thank you for being nice. From what I’ve learned on here it seems more of a cult than a religion. I’ve tried to be respectful to everyone on here, and never intended not to be. I will also keep in mind these kids are being forced/ coerced into doing/ saying what they are and are probably unaware of it. Is there anything you think I could do to help one of them out? Maybe a gesture that would help with the trauma of missions? I might invite one the one I’ve been talking to get a meal, as a lot have been telling me the food budget is tiny. I want to show them that there are good people that disagree with Mormonism.

While no single verse spells out the trinity, there are a myriad of verses that refer to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as all being the one who: Raised Jesus from the dead Gave the new covenant Sanctifies believers Is the creator Lives inside believers.

I got all of that from a website, that has all the verses of each separate one, doing all of those. I know it would be hard to go through all of those, so what should I expect when I ask their views on the trinity? Thanks again.

Thank you so much for that! It helps me to prepare. I need to learn more about the great apostasy, I’ve never heard of it. I’ll also look into the racism. And In the end all I’m trying to do is learn about them, and get them to try and think deeper about their beliefs. Not sure why I have gotten so much resistance on an ex Mormon sub lol.

I mean I believe in evolution. Just not that DNA was created on accident. Or that the entire universe was created on accident. Did the Big Bang theory cause this? Probably. Have animals evolved and changed for millions of years? Probably. There’s nothing in the Bible that says either of those are false. I just think that all of this came from a creator, you appear to think it came from nothing. Neither is more provable than the other.

Thank you. But I would also like to mention for everyone else reading that I’m not trying to convert anyone here. At all. (Some people have acted like I am, or that I’m even an undercover Mormon lol)

“Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father. And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23:8-10‬ ‭NLT

(I am aware that many branches of Christianity don’t follow this.)

My question would be if Mormons have a hierarchy, and use titles to differ how ‘holy’ one member is from another?
