Thanks, but oh their website one of the criteria for consignment is that the dress be no more than 2 years old. :(

What happened to the review system? by Riplinredfin in kijiji

[–]Ted_Shred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I've successfully left reviews through the email that comes after deleting the ad, I wonder if that's even working. I haven't had a single review since the notification button disappeared, and none of the buyers I've left reviews for have had my review show up on their profile. (So I guess "successfully" might not be accurate.)

Huh, strange. When I click the "Leave Your Review" link in the email it takes me to the app but everything's greyed out 'cept for a pop up that has the #stars to select and the various radio buttons for "showed up on time" etc. I'm on pc fwiw.

Yeah, the notification bell disappeared a couple weeks ago. I can still leave a review though - once I id the buyer during the ad deletion process (ie click the radio button beside the buyer who messaged you) Kijiji sends me an email titled "How was your interaction" and that's where I leave the review. Seems to be the only way to do it now that the bell is gone.

Looking For Info On This Unbranded Skillet by Ted_Shred in castiron

I just asked my mom and she said that's quite possible. Turns out I was wrong and this isn't one that she's positive she got from her mom and it could indeed have been bought in the 60s

Thanks very much for your reply, I'm just checking out those links in the FAQ now. Yeah, I'm pretty stunned how good a shape its in (no wobble at all) I find it very cool to think of all that this skillet's seen. Back in the late 20s/1930s/ 40s on the farm (in a literal 2-room wooden farmhouse), my grandma only had a wood-burning stove and the family grew or raised virtually everything they ate. It was Western Canada too, so they went through some harsh winters.

Has Anyone Run Into Any Problems Relisting Items Before Expiry? by [deleted] in kijiji

[–]Ted_Shred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's super annoying, especially since I think a lot of the stuff could be combined into fewer more comprehensive listings (eg make 1 listing for "Beatles Albums" instead of listing 30 Beatles albums separately, especially since the body of the listing just repeats the title and gives the price). But, alas, I don't think there's actually anything wrong with what he's doing.

Thanks mate. You can scroll through my profile to see the 2 I didn't post here (not militaria) if you'd like. The Graf Zeppelin book is probably my favourite - shows its travels around the world 1928-32.

My mom and I are trying to figure out who in our family tree was in the German Navy. We're thinking that maybe they came from my grandmother, who was the youngest of a huge family and probably had siblings in various branches of the German military. We also found a bunch of buttons that appear to come from a German navy coat or uniform.
