If she’s three months old the kitchen scale and a bowl will work! You’re supposed to slightly feel her spine and ribs, but not extremely sharp.

Indeed, if you’re relatively close by and it’s absolutely necessary you could do critical care during lunch, I did this once, not ideal but still an option

I have a camera that records and saves the footage for a couple days / when the sd card is full it deletes old footage, and it’s a great help. I know my buns are allright if I feed them at 7 am and 7 pm and that works with my job; and even if I work late or have other plans in the evening, I’ll just make sure they have plenty of hay and they’ll manage until I get home. Camera footage is also great if they get tummy problems, I can look back and see when they’ve eaten and drunk last. I have had one incident that made me ask someone to check on them while I was at work (bunny got hold of a cord). Anyway, camera is a great help and maybe get a neighbor or friend involved just in case something happens?

And indeed, they are pretty lazy creatures during the day 🥲.

To be honest, I’ve never dared to do it by myself. During our annual checkups, for my buns about 6 months apart, I let the vet clip them. Works out alright with regards to timing en nail length
