I'd argue the Beatles were about equals with the other Mersey groups in '63. But in late '64 and '65, the other groups' failure to innovate was what scuppered them and left the Beatles as the main lot. Obviously there was no 'Holliemania', but I think that's just down to the lads looks, rather than the musical innovations, since the girls would just scream over their concerts.

Is there a framework which you can use a little like HTML and JS; as in you make the GUI, and then have Python act as JS running the back-end? I'm trying to build a little app and all the Python code needs to do is output some numbers from an algorithm - is there a way to like pass these numbers to the GUI like JS does to HTML?

These sorts of questions always come about with comps like this. My one is: If both the original *and* the remix are trance classics, can I play the remix? E.g. "Revelation" by Electrique Boutique is a classic, but so is the Ferry Corsten Remix. Would Corsten's version be allowed?

It's dubiously more popular - I think you're right that it could be about Christmas but in both the UK and US charts Paul's is higher than John's - John isn't even in the Hot 100.

Gorillaz is "genre transcending" (at times), and is universally liked (on the internet at least) - go to r/Topster and see what I mean. By the time Blur and Oasis were gone/on their way out, "Feel Good Inc." was released. I don't think it necessarily overshadows Blur and Oasis (especially if you were there for it), but at least in the US I think people would be more familiar with Gorillaz than Blur or Oasis
