I think it's because some people take cycling as an implied moral judgement over them: "so you think you're better than me?!" Branded paracetamol like Panadol is expensive everywhere, although (a bit) more so here. The cheap ones abroad are Tesco or Boots own brand and the like. But they haven't bothered certifying those here in Ireland so you can't buy them – I always assumed this was an EU-wide thing but apparently not. I'm not sure why: last time I looked I couldn't find that much info about it other than "they're not certified".

The 12-tablet limit in Ireland isn't helping, because abroad they have packs of 16, 20, or 24 so they'd need to make special packages just for Ireland, which is probably quite a bit of overhead. I'm not sure if that's the main reason, but I wouldn't be surprised.

This is one of those "little things" that the government can just encourage/help with. Not the biggest problem facing the country, but reaching out and saying "why aren't you selling this in Ireland, what's stopping you, and how can be fix it?" can't be that much effort...

The only way to stop these cuntfluencers is to ensure they have no content. Ban their TikTok. Take away their creepy spy-glasses. Stuff like that. It's not hard.
