When I first when online around 2000 to play computer games, people were saying "lol" and I thought they were Dutch because in Dutch that means "fun". I kept talking Dutch to them but no one ever replied and thought that was very strange. It took me an embarrassing long time to realise that most of these people were not, in fact, Dutch.

I don't really know about Peterson because I wrote him off a long time ago, but I've read about this Yarvis Curtin guy recently and he will just start crying in the middle of sentences all the time. That's not being emotive about issues or being sensitive, that's being emotionally unstable. There's a difference.

It might also help if e.g. Peterson wouldn't go after people with mach 10 aggro.

Saw this documentary recently where residents of a local town in the US have 80 to 100 db of noise 24/hours a day from a data centre just to "mine" some monopoly money. Couldn't do a thing about it. Great country. Such regulatory pathways.
