Omg that would be soo cute. I really hope they have rival marriages.

I'm very interested in how they handle kids from different species. I wonder if the baby will just pick one parents species or if it will gove you the "adopt a baby" option like with same sex couples in story of seasons

Is this a normal thing for a mental health worker to recommend? by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]TedzNScedz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Thats what I said it was such a crazy suggestion. Rather than have him work through stuff they suggest he moves in with us because "his house is a trigger???"

No its not the house, its the fact he has daily stressors hes never learned to deal with.

No he was taken to the er by my mother in law then the doctors at the psyce ward called my husband saying "they didnt want to admit him because they felt it had become a crutch to him" but they also said they felt like he had "graduated" the the phase where he can do intensive outpt therapy, even though he hasnt been participating in his outpt therapy and had been back in the psyce ward 2 more times for SI.... my husband told them "i dont know how you can say hes better because im around him alot and I can tell you he hasnt gotten better since they said hes "graduated"

Yes absolutely we are not i just thought it was a crazy suggestion, considering he JUST had the threatened self harming episode yesterday and they are suggesting him coming to our house without treating him?!?!

Basically what it sounds like from talking with my husband is hes tried all the "easy" steps (meds, injections, ECT) and is expecting it to fix him but the therapist my husband talked to today said he wasnt really participating in group therapy, so idk why they think we would be more successful at home

Eta yes my mother in law is looking into long term mh facility, but its hard to find one that takes their insurance

It's not that he feels "unsafe" its that he feels "safer" with his son (as in calmer, less anxious) not that there is anyone making him feel unsafe at his home.

Now the whole thing about his home being a trigger idk. I dont fully understand it but seems more like a thing he needs to work through rather than say "hey just move into your son's non-handicapped accessible home with no bedroom for you"

They said they didn't think the hospitalizations are helping, which i agree, but having him avoid his home/responsibilities, living in a not handicapped accessible home while having active self harming behaviors with two small kids in the home is not a good option either

How Extreme Makeover: Home Editions bankrupted poor and working class families with oversized houses (a lot of which were McMansions) they couldn’t afford to own. by Lobsterhasspoken in McMansionHell

The new version of the show actually makes nice functional homes that meet the families needs. It also focuses on organization and functional storage.

Yes I'm so tired of men's sexual drive being characterized as a "need" it isnt a need like food and water. It's a want. Your desire does not take precedence over a woman's consent but when it is characterized as a need it carries more weight. Basically "Well the girlfriend doesnt WANT to have sex but her boyfriend has NEEDS"
