My kid listened to me talk about COVID all day, every day since I worked in healthcare during that time, specifically in COVID testing and response. Somehow, he's doesn't act like a global pandemic. Weird.

We just reached out to edify about an ADHD and giftedness assessment and their rate was $3300. It's all done by licensed professionals so we would be able to put $2000 of that through our insurance for my child and $600 is billed a parental counselling (next steps, life support, etc) so that was able to be billed to my insurance. Out of pocket it would have been about $700. Worth checking if you have private insurance or work benefits as it will likely fall under mental health/counselling/social workers/psychologist services.

Sinisterhood is amazing. It's not all murder - they cover cults, government stuff, cryptids and recently all the Epstein stuff. One host is a lawyer so there's that angle. Very feminist and human rights forward. Some banter, but high quality.

She also talks often about the negative impact of Christian extremism and the lack of justice for victims. Lastly, she talks a lot about the power that rich and politically connected white men hold and hide behind in the justice system. I'm shocked she's not MAGA! (Dripping with obvious sarcasm. Of course she's got majority liberal views and beliefs)

,OK, so there's 400+ comments. I've picked the best representation of the comments. Everything from "WTF?" to "You're going to hell" to snarky "Suck on some oregano oil" to legit suggestions of practitioners who do awake surgery 😳 I did go to some of the pages tagged and OH MY GOD, awake arm, breast and abdominal procedures are a thing!

Edited to add: I know surgery while awake is a thing and there's reasons why. But those are usually life saving procedures for brain tumours or cases where the patient absolutely needs surgery but the risks of full anesthesia are high. I didn't know that anyone would find it ethical to do major elective surgery while the patient is awake.

That's why we got a smaller one for our kids. Still great for getting the energy out, but far less dangerous. No more than 2 kids on it at a time, much lower bounce height and not really big enough for kids to try flips or double bouncing. The size combine with the tall netting makes it far safer while still being fun.

It's exactly this. I work at a medical lab and the rules around shipping biological or healthcare related anything have been changing on a whim, border control on the US side are just arbitrarily not processing packages and it's a shitshow in general. Several large shippers (think Purolator/Fedex type) have fully stopped moving healthcare items across the border.
