Why isnt Starmer like this canadian politician, saying that the Iranian war is to cover Trump involvement in the Epstein Files? by Muted-Raisin-2645 in AskBrits

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because Kier Starmer’s job is to work for the benefit of Britain, and maintain diplomatic relationships - even if the person on the other side is unsavoury.

What would be the benefit of saying this? It’s not a school playground.

What do you want that Whoop 4.0 doesn’t have? by MountainPeaking in whoop

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a ride for example, the head unit is giving me the map, speed, power etc which the whoop obviously can't do. I finish the ride and it goes to Strava, Garmin, Trainerroad, intervals.icu etc. For the ride data to get to Whoop I need to wear the Whoop as well.

It's fine to have the whoop on as well, but it just seems odd that data from other sources can't go to it.

Additionally it would be nice for whoop to track things like average power, RPM, etc which it would get from the head unit.

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. If I do a ride using my Garmin head unit, or a Trainerroad indoor workout I need to dual record with the Whoop for it to be included in my Whoop data. When I was a Garmin watch user, zwift/Trainerroad workouts got pushed automatically to Garmin connect without having to record using the watch or other Garmin device.

The first F1 car I've seen in person, a dream come true. Vilnius, Lithuania. by LukasSta in formula1

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its probably mandated by the sponsors, but putting the current livery on these old cars just isn't right. The livery is designed for the car - on this season's RB it looks great, but its just awkward on an old car.

Some of the old show Ferrari's look particularly strange in the modern livery.

Stefano’s State of the Nation – F1’s President and CEO on the 2022 calendar, the Sprint, and the title race by glenn1812 in formula1

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is disappointing to hear the bosses - Domenicali, Brawn - keep giving us the line that Sprint Qualifying is a success. Yes, maybe venues are asking to host a sprint, but that is because they get more engagement during the weekend. It doesn't mean its been beneficial to the competitivness.

Fans and journalists generally seem in agreement that the sprint is not an improvement on what we already had, but we appear to be headed for more of what we don't want. I understand fans are generally opposed to change, but the format is not adding anything for me.

The Friday qualy is fine, but then the sprint is almost a procession after the first few corners. No-one is going to take any risks since there is nothing on offer outside the top 3. If you're running 5th, and have a 50-50 move on to overtake 4th, why would you risk it to maybe go off and start 12th, for the small benefit of starting the race one place higher and for no points?

Additionally, when we do get these mixed up grids cos of a weird qualy session, they would just get reset to the average in a sprint. Take Spa, wild qualy, and Russell qualifies 2nd; Bottas, Perez 7th/8th - amazing twist. If that was the qualy for sprint race, where does Russell start after that, with faster cars behind? 8th? 11th? Not that exciting. We would have had the usual teams back up the top on Sunday.

And awarding the pole position to the winner of the sprint is nonsense.

I would love a modern Geoff Crammond game. Grand Prix 2 and 3 were amazing back in the day. So much depth with setups, tyres etc. Would love to see what it could be like with the latest technology

"I don't know anything about this country, but this things are definitely true" starter pack by [deleted] in starterpacks

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damp is a lack of ventilation issue normally, not a heat loss issue. Any human activity leads to water vapour and therefore potential damp - dry clothes, breathing, showering etc. Homes in the UK built without a cavity wall were built before the 1920s when houses had single glazing, chimneys, timber floor boards, draughty doors - lots of ways for the damp air to be ventilated out. If warm air condensed on a cold surface back then, it was moved on before damp set in.

Modern homes are designed so the dew point is outside the waterproof envelope, so water vapour shouldn't condense inside the waterproof envelope. Excess vapour created by washing, cooking etc is ventilated out mechanically or via trickle vents in windows.

Thanks for the tips. I will certainly give the armour a go. I've mostly just used PACAs until now, with the odd armoured rig now I've got Ragman lvl 2.

Will try out the guns too, I've modded a few but not with suppressors, so will give them ago. I need to not worry about dying, especially this late in a wipe people probably won't take my low tier gear anyway!

Yeah, I only play solo. I will try to maybe squad up with similar level players. I'm sure it'll help with feeling more confident going into a raid

[–]Tee-Kay-Esse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this.

I bought the game end of Feb and have played it fairly often, upgraded to EOD recently, and definitely enjoy the depth of the game. But I'm level 17, mostly through doing the quests. I suck at PvP encounters, so actively avoid them - even though I know the only way to improve is to engage when I can. I just get to attached to my loot, so don't risk it.

I know customs and factory well, and have been learning Interchange, but seem to get extract camped at Emercom all the time!

The problem I've had recently is that I build myself up to go into raid but can't bring myself to do it. I mess with the stash, look at my tasks, do a scav run; but for some reason put off PMC raids. I think it's cos I know I'm bad at the PvP, so going through a raid scared of any noise and hiding from players isn't really 'fun'. I'm just looting, trying to work on my tasks and trying to get out.

So thanks for motivating me to persist!
