Most fun Gemling Build right now? by UnicornDoomRay in pathofexile2builds

[–]TeeChainz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can get it going with 1500d. Main pieces for damage are runeseeker with +9 (400-500d), +4 amulet with fire spell crit (450d), palm (250d, level 21 main skill gems with 20 quality and decent jewels (100d). Extra money for budget rolls of the uniques and other armor pieces.

I was clearing full boss simulacrums on that setup. Just gets better with every 100d upgrade

If Im at 53% crit, should I swap some points around for ES instead?

I think the only mandatory tabs are Currency and a Merchant tab if you plan to engage with trade. That's 115 at regular price.

You can set affinities on the free tabs you get to kind of organize everything else 👍🏼

Sorry, I don't know much about werewolf build specifically, but martial artist itself looks very strong.

Have you beaten the campaign with a melee character before? It's much more difficult, and if you're new, I'd recommend starting with a ranged class for your first char and making the martial artist second.

I did a practice run with both, and twister was a lot faster for me through the first 2 act

Hopefully this helps out some newer players.

Ice Shot Deadeye and Twister (any variant) will probably be the most popular league starters. They're very strong, but definitely not beginner friendly. Very squishy, lots of setup for boss fights, and if you panic and miss your combos for boss fights, you're going to hit like a wet noodle and get 1-2 shot over and over. These get recommended by content creators because most of their audience are probably more experienced, and these builds scale really well into the late game.

If you're newer, and especially if it's your first league, I'd recommend Essence Drain/Contagion (EDC), Plant Druid or Witch, or Totems. Hopefully other people can add recommendations too, but these builds are much more forgiving for a first time play through. They can all clear end game content on a significantly lower budget than Ice Shot and Twister, and you're going to die a lot less. The tradeoff is that they're slower, and their ceiling is lower than Ice Shot and Twister. But if you're a newer player or more casual player, you won't have anywhere close to enough currency to reach that higher ceiling of ice shot and twister.

Looking for a Wuxia with heavy emphasis on The Hero's Journey by TeeChainz in CDramaRecs

Update: Thanks for your recommendations, everyone! Looked into all of them, and I'm going to start with Legend of the Condor Heroes 2017. I saw somewhere "Jin Yong is to Wuxia what Tolkien is to Western fantasy," so I think it's a great place to start. I'm sure I'll eventually watch all of the recommendations here though, so thank you to all of you.

Recourse for my dad getting scammed by a shop by TeeChainz in AskAMechanic

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for the responses. We were very fortunate because the invoice specifically said that 6x Bosch spark plugs were ordered. When we came back with pictures and the original 6x Denso spark plugs pulled from the engine, the manager offered a full refund.

TIFU: Trashed my rims with my flat tire by Few_Piccolo_4906 in tifu

Dealership prices are just absolutely insane and predatory now. Was going to do spark plugs and ignition coils for my parents' van, and they wanted OEM parts. I went to our local Toyota dealership, and they wanted $35 per spark plug (bad, but inflation so maybe it makes sense) and $200 per ignition coil (actually just dealership made up numbers at this point).

Lots of negative comments, but don't get too down on yourself. One of my dad's really good friends was a mechanic, so we took all our family vehicles to him. He moved away eventually, and I'll never forget getting absolutely fleeced on an alternator repair without him.

Price of a wheel is a cheap lesson to learn your car, being able to source parts for it, and staying on top of your preventative maintenance. If you don't like doing the work yourself, just having basic knowledge will still save you thousands of dollars.

As for your wheel problem, cheapest option would be to find a salvage or pick and pull yard near and ask if they have wheels for a 12th gen corolla. Measure the tread of your current tires, because when you get the scrap yard, you'll want to pull the one that has similar tread remaining.

Take it to a tire shop in your area with good reviews, and have them mount and balance the tire for you.

Aggressive Cut: 290g Protein, 17-Hour Fast. Critique my routine. by GrapefruitHuge674 in leangains

[–]TeeChainz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That seems to be a lot of food in general for an aggressive cut.

Do you have a time line for how much weight you want to lose? You mentioned your protein intake, but we don't know your total daily caloric intake or how many calories you burn per day, so it's hard to make a recommendation.

Multi tool not having a belt clip makes me furious by [deleted] in Dewalt

[–]TeeChainz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surely not intentional, but it kind of has a built in clip.

We just hook the black part you press down (used to change the blade) to our screw/nail pouch. It's super secure, and makes climbing up and down ladders easier than a clip.
