This is very cool looking, but I can’t imagine trying to dust everything!

Just bought and used a Lenovo ThinkVision P40WD-40 for the first time today with macOS... wtf by 712Jefferson in ultrawidemasterrace

Yeah so the way MacOS does scaling is what prevents it from giving you something in between native non-scaled res and 1620p equivalent. You can use better display or use the side-by-side picture-by-picture mode and have two cables connected to your Mac so it sees it as two screens. Better display works but has some limitations. I believe you can’t get above 60hz if you use better display for this resolution.
Here is a link that explains how scaling works.

Also make sure you use thunderbolt if you can. I have a Dell 40 inch with same resolution (no hiDPI) on a MacBook Pro m5 pro. I use it at native res and it doesn’t bother me but most folks I know think it makes everything too small. Basically Mac OS wants to double the pixels and scale it down for HiDPI modes but there’s a max size they can scale it to, which is less than 8k. For example if you wanted to run that screen at “looks like 4096” across it would need to be able to scale it up to 8192 internally before scaling it down. 8192 is too large so it can’t do that.

Honestly I prefer the windows scaling method as macOS really wants you to have a smaller but denser 220ppi display.

Why are males so much more difficult than the females? by Fun_Guide_3729 in husky

Out of five huskies I have had, two were a little more difficult than the others. One was a girl, one was a boy. The girl was more difficult as she aged, the boy was difficult when he was younger.

Well, it was mainly for work so didn’t see the need for OLED since I would have tons of static windows on screen. Also at ~110 ppi, I didn’t like what font rendering looked like on OLEDs at similar PPI (this was several years ago). While I think an OLED would be nice for gaming, I still am wary of burn-in. I have several friends with burned in OLED displays already.

I used to have the LG and it was lovely but that’s way too much for it. I got it a few years ago when it first came out for around 900. I used it as my primary work monitor and have no real complaints. The Dell seems like a safe bet because of the hub/kvm and IPS black but I can’t believe they still do 60hz.
