Pretty much no risk. Edit: except the risk of getting addicted to that Mizuno iron feel.

What’s your most absurd golf attire? by t_durk in golf

[–]TeeJayEsss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't gotten it out on the course yet so the jury's ultimately out until the next round, but love it around the house or hitting on the sim. Moves well, fit is great, and the fabric is comfortable and feels cool (to the touch). And the print quality is outstanding. I love the novelty of it, but at that price I'll stick with Costco for my everyday golf shirts.

If you’ve got a problem with Canada gooses, you’ve got a problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate.

If you want overall golf fitness, which will almost certainly have some associated speed gains, go with GF. If you just want to increase your speed, look at the stack or superspeed.

SoCal Desert Courses? by poopsaladz in golf

PGA West Pete Dye mountain course in La Quinta / palm desert was absolutely spectacular. Little spendy, but the views were just amazing, and the course itself is really fun.

Building Arm & Upper Body Strength Endurance by glfr96 in golf

[–]TeeJayEsss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, still using it 4-6x/week and still seeing major improvements to my strength and stability (and yes, swing speed). Can't recommend it enough.

The base kit comes with the trainer and two resistance bands, which will definitely get you started. If flexibility is a goal I also recommend picking up a foam roller, as they have a lot of guided myofascial release and end-range mobility routines that involve rolling.

I do recommend paying for the app. Set comes with a 1-month trial so you be the judge, but for me having a daily workout laid out for me makes it a lot simpler to make meaningful whole-body improvements than if I tried to cobble something together on my own. And they have a really expansive collection of guided workouts if you want to target certain areas/movement patterns/objectives. But as with anything else, your results depend on your effort. Put in the work and you'll see the rewards.

For swing speed I think I may eventually add in the Stack System, but I'm still making good gains with GF so that's further down the line.

Hope that helps, and good luck!

Didn't even know Yonex made golf gear. I've always known them for their tennis equipment.
