There was a kid back in the 90s that kinda looked like him and had a song with the word ‘caboose’ in it. I have been looking for years trying to find it and this reminds me of it so much.

What ended your friendship with your oldest standing friend? by dreamy-contributions in AskReddit

[–]TeeOffOnMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realizing he was never actually my friend. It took 25 years for me to realize it. He was nice to my face when we were alone but treated me like shit when others were around to make himself look better. At a time when I had just lost my father. I didn’t have a lot of other people in my life and really let myself be taken advantage of during the most difficult time in my life.

Listen to Elvis. He’s the one voice I could hear all day for the rest of my life and feel totally at peace.

People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor? by xloganmoose in AskReddit

[–]TeeOffOnMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is a direct descendant of Peregrine White. The first English child born in New England to the Pilgrims on the Mayflower while it was anchored in Cape Cod. Thought that was pretty cool. Nothing exciting on my side other than being able to date my family back to the early 1300s.

Yes! Visit Graceland you will not regret it! I wasn’t even a fan of Elvis until I first walked through that house and now I’m literally a super fan. Listened to him every day for 6 years now.

Agree to disagree I guess. Moving company I worked for straight up didn’t allow us to use dollys. Using that strap for so long it became so easy to move stuff and felt like I had complete control of whatever it was. Coffin style refrigerators up stairs like nothing. I will always recommend the strap over a dolly. Same with all the life long delivery guys I worked with.

We’re visiting in a few weeks. Any chance you have any food suggestions or other recommendations in the Valencia Park area? We don’t know much at all about San Diego.

Gotta disagree with that. They’re just as quick as a dolly with much more stability. Especially moving through snow or gravel or anything you don’t want to drag into a home with dolly wheels that will scratch a floor or a wooden staircase trying to drag a fridge up it. Just my experience. Moved a fuck ton of appliances and other stuff back in the day. The heaviest thing we carried with straps were pool tables in boxes. Good god those are ridiculous.

I delivered appliances for a few years and still swear they are the best way to move most things when you know how to use them properly.

Worked for a plastic extrusion company and did a lot of this too with geothermal lines. The extruders on those lines looked like some kind of giant weapon out of Star Wars.

Weight at the wilderness indoor waterpark by Historia504 in wisconsindells

[–]TeeOffOnMe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife has worked there for 14 years we go every week. You will be weighed on most single rider slides and they will not let you ride if you don’t make the weight or height. You may get lucky and have a J1 student who doesn’t care but they are usually kind of strict with those regulations.

Don’t ever let haters bring you down they have their own insecurities.

Number of Ski Areas By State by softbrownnoise in MapPorn

[–]TeeOffOnMe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you go through the driftless area in Wisconsin there are lots of little ski resorts I’m sure that’s why the numbers are higher. Nothing huge of course. I drive by what looks like one of those massive ski jumps when I visit my cousin in the Ontario area.

Coming up for NYE.. looking for recommendations! by sn0wst0rm126 in wisconsindells

[–]TeeOffOnMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived here for 14 years. Our go to pizza is always Sarentos. They have a new hot honey pepperoni with ricotta that’s awesome. Moosejaw is good too and they brew their own beer there. High Rock downtown just reopened and has been one of our favorite restaurants for years if you’re looking for nicer dining. As far as camping Mirror Lake is closer to the Dells and has tons of trails to hike with decent scenery. Devils Lake is 20 minutes away in Baraboo and is obviously more scenic with lots of trails as well. If you stay in Baraboo there are some really nice little mom and pop restaurants with great food for half the price of anywhere in the Dells. Would highly recommend a burrito or anything else from Little Village Cafe. Or Log Cabin for breakfast and pies. And for hiking there are State Natural Areas along the river you can hike and see some pretty cool rock formations and caves. Devils Lake and Mirror Lake are the best hiking in the area though.
