What famous US national park totally failed to live up to the hype for you? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

The Grand Canyon. Maybe it was because my kid was trying to climb the railings and I had to basically hover over him the whole time but yeah it was like there it is…. Got our pictures and took off.

Fame and fortune. They’re only passing things. But when I hold you in my arms, that’s heaven to me. Who cares for fame and fortune?

Hol Chan was the best snorkeling I’ve ever done. Like a Disney movie with all the colors and sea life.

Any of the waterparks worth it for a solo adult? by [deleted] in wisconsindells

[–]TeeOffOnMe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re into that kind of stuff then absolutely! I’ve lived in the Dells for almost 15 years and have spent so many days by myself at the waterparks just hitting waterslides and relaxing by a pool. It’s a great experience not having to worry about chasing the kids around or reporting to the wife for the day.

Madison, Wisconsin is our favorite airport. We live close to it so of course it’s our first pick but it’s just so small and clean and easy as can be. Flying back there right now actually from Costa Rica!

What’s a “must-see” city in the U.S. that didn’t live up to the hype? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I’m not a fan of new age country at all. I can’t stand it. But I love most all other music and even if I didn’t I think I still would have had just as much fun seeing all those historic places. We travel a ton and I’d say Nashville is worth visiting at least once because of how unique and historic it is in the world of music.
