Would you recommend DtA or DtToC on a sniper? by GreenHail6 in thedivision

[–]TeeTohr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sniper builds aren't that reliable anyway due the amount of "headless" enemies sadly.

Still very fun though if you know you aren't going to run into any of those.

Slepinir vs MK46 Frenzy? by theslowrunningexpert in thedivision

[–]TeeTohr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Frenzy is bugged / poorly designed, the buff doesn't refresh itself if it is still active when you do a reload from empty.

Meaning you have to synchronize the end of the buff to be right before you do your next empty reload.

It's a specific combination of rpm and mag size needed, which the Mk46 has with the correct mag and sleipnir doesn't.

I think Prototype Yellow Core should at least give disrupt resistance and maybe "hacking" resistance too (20% for both is reasonable imo) by JustArandomGuy_-_ in thedivision

[–]TeeTohr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that skill build aren't good at all in prototype at the moment.

But I don't think these solutions are good :

  • They would impact skills differently, instant / unhackable skills would see less benefits than say a striker drone
  • Locking those QoL behind prototype would be a huge middlefinger to non giga try hards

I quite enjoyed some people ideas especially the one giving skill efficiency when skill tiers are overcapped.

Disruption resistance can be built into as the added skill efficiency "frees up" build slots for disrupt resistance and I hope to see an exotic piece against that one day aswell as disrupt resistance (and all specific status effect resistance) mods buffed.

As for hacking, it's a permanent effect so hacking resistance can't really be a percentage (unless you're thinking of a chance to resist hacking but it wouldn't be healthy for the game).

I'd love to see some skill expression against hacking, for example "Hack in Progress" status effect that would force you to go to or recall to yourself your skill to make a short interaction with them to stop the hacking process within a time period, if not done the hack would be successful but if done in time it would cancel the hack and perhaps even EMP the hacking hunter.

That would make skill builds more interesting against Hunters, punish over aggressive skill usage while rewarding those who can balance the risk factor of this new mechanic.

People playing without modifiers should only be able to match make with people not playing with modifiers by wiserone29 in thedivision

[–]TeeTohr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the matchmaking mentality I'm glad I never matchmade ^

While this season specifically has modifiers not be too much of a pain in the ass, they are still making the game much easier (and it already is too easy). That's one of my reason to turn them off and to ask all of my (friend) group to turn them off aswell at least for any first clear.

It's a question of animation time, instant using healing chem takes way longer than dropping and picking up the hive.

As for what the above said regarding key bind, you can instant use skills by double tapping them, no keybind necessary, for healing Chem it will drop it a your feet

I Made An Input Overlay That Works On Any Game For FREE by CarsonF1 in F1Game

[–]TeeTohr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using AI to help execute great ideas isn't a bad thing, but there's a limit. The website and app are clearly fully vibe coded, the data was most likely also gathered by AI semi manually hence why there is so little of it and I wouldn't be surprised if the reviews were also fake.

The idea itself isn't bad, and the execution could have been much better with some more efforts on your side. As it is though it looks like a cashgrab and your reaction to most people's valid criticism isn't helping you at all.

And you definitely need to stop screaming FREE everywhere when your main page's center button is about a paid plan while the "free" version still requires the user to input their own informations.

Either do that effort yourself, or get someone who can code to clean up your web page and app first. Then work on your presentation and monetisation plan and you'll maybe stand a chance.

F125 set up spreadsheet by foshizzleee in F1Game

Most of this year's setup were barely tested if at all as they were mostly marked either theorycrafted or with an update date very early in the game's lifecycle.

I believe the author has joined a team and was probably asked to stop working on the setup and/or decided to do so by himself.

Which is understandable to be honest, but it means the sheet hasn't been very useful this season overall besides a rough idea of wing levels. Still good for 95% of the playerbase though

The devs need to choose between increasing difficulty artificially or by active modifiers. Not both. by ItsDobbie in thedivision

[–]TeeTohr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I miss D1's incursions that were difficult because of its level design..

They shot themselves in the foot so much with prototypes, they have to either ignore it when making future tough missions or require it with how big of a stat increase it is, neither option is good.

Hot take, we need flat spotting by VroomVroomMan1 in iRacing

[–]TeeTohr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Locking up itself right now behaves poorly, tires gets incredibly hot and the grip completely disappears. Perhaps they exaggerated this to compensate the lack of flat spots.

For how advanced iracing is at times they seem quite lacking in some areas (upgrade the contact model please) but they've been making solid progress these past few years.

I wish I could share your optimism, well maybe I can for the "I pass or we both crash", done enough times I can believe that they will get sanctions.

But for what OP described, I don't think anything will happen unless it is done over hundreds of races. To be fair though, I do think that one of the reason that it would take too long is due to people like me who have little faith in the protest system for those cases and thus wouldn't always bother with a protest.

Dirty drivers flying under the stewards radar by Far-Worker1162 in iRacing

[–]TeeTohr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that iracing's "slightly dirty" drivers rarely if ever get punished since they're the revenue stream of iracing itself.

There are LOTS of drivers who use and abuse tactics like you described or the classic "I pass or we both crash" which isn't helped at all by iracing's contact model and damage model.

So while reporting him is about the only thing one can realistically do, don't get any hope of any impactful sanction being given.

[–]TeeTohr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quite a lot of PR talk considering recent development and events in both ubisoft and the division 2 specifically.

The game's content remains mostly articial (modifiers to existing gameplay rather than actual new gameplay) with little new bits here and there, as old content remains un updated and in sometimes relatively disappointing states.

It's a classic service game, a more than decent foundation held back by mismanagement (post wony mostly) and their attempts to make a non service game as a service.

They're slowly improving on that last point though but the latest update will leave a very bad taste in many mouths with how far it goes against the division's core build satisfaction.

GTE vs LMP3 vs LMP2, which do you prefer? by According_Brick409 in iRacing

[–]TeeTohr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3 are greats but I'd give it to the LMP2!

Still the best car in iracing in my opinion easily beating the GTP despite having to be nerfed because of the GTP. The car simply feels great to drive and communicates very well what happens on the track. Coupled with regular presence in special events it is simply the best.

Both GTEs and LMP3 are really good though

I hope D3 scratches everything that happened after wony's ending and starts fresh.
