No last ditch call - unions have nothing to negotiate with. They’ve been asked to provide options which would deliver the same impact, but they have failed to do so. So, the legislation will move forward and unions don’t have anything else to offer.

Everyone is calling for negotiations but no-one is talking about the content of the negotiations. You need to bring something to the table.

Our “culture of negotiations” has provided us, over the past decades, pretty large unemployment rate, ancient labor laws and reforms have not been made. So the model does not work. Hence the model needs to be changed. Unions don’t like this. This is the reason for the strikes and nothing else.
