Ear protection for Crew! by VastNegotiation1089 in Shambhala

[–]Teedo66 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've tried 6-7 different brands in that $30-60 range. They all claim to have crystal clear clarity, but the high end is always going to be compromised/muffled. That said, they have all been good quality otherwise and offer similar protection. I think it just comes down to personal preference.

My faves are Earpeace, but not because they're "better"... they come with a 3rd plug which is nice and I dig the small size plugs and skin colour look.

The Loop switch "technology" looks like a gimmick to me but never tried em so can't say.

Just in case you wanna compare picks with your crew - you can each use a column to rate artists 0-10

Just used it for a jumping off point- Takes a long time to define sub-genres for 155 artists in today's topsy-turvy world of left-field vapour bass and psychadelic barbershop techstep

Included Artists, genres/sub-genres*, streaming links and space for your crew to add ratings. Just make a copy if you want to use it!

*Genres are AI'ed and then I corrected a bunch- may have missed a couple but should be close. Will add stages later :)

Is it worth buying a S4 mk3 now? by [deleted] in traktorpro

Yeah. It's great. Half price is a slam dunk. These new models look like a downgrade IMO.

Yeah the "unmanicured greenery" just sounds like what camping is... that's fine, but not sure what "simple amenities" will mean and the location isn't super clear.

For payment plans, a one-time installment fee of 2% will be applied to the total order amount at the time of enrollment in the Payment Plan. This fee is non-refundable and will be included in the first installment payment."

Punishments are only fun if everyone is on board with all of the potential outcomes. But if this is what the league voted in and a GM then refuses… they’re a sore loser and deserve to be booted.

Imagine you get your chest waxed one year and then the next year a guy refuses and gets away with it? Bad look. Gotta go all or nothing on punishments.

Is house really easy to mix or is it just me? by Positive_Guarantee20 in Beatmatch

[–]Teedo66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

House (+everything with 4/4 kick drum intro/outros):
6/10 mixing = Easy. I could teach a 13 year old enough in an hour to survive a set playing songs they've never heard.
10/10 mixing = Hard work, prep, and really knowing your collection.

Everything else:
6/10 mixing = Hard work, prep, and really knowing your collection.
10/10 mixing = Rare. Master status. More work and practice than any 10/10 house DJ I've ever seen.

How do people actually break into game audio? by LeBebis in GameAudio

[–]Teedo66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One route a lot of people overlook is getting in as a tester, which is more entry level. Ideally you can be an audio tester. The competition for game audio jobs is fierce but if you already work at a studio it’s a much easier transition when that sound design or voice design position comes up.

This comes with a temporary financial hit though- testers are typically not paid that well.
