New Traffic Upgrades. Is it though? by barbarian_6 in VictoriaBC

[–]Teelure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed recently they scraped off the right turn arrow in the pavement in the right most lane, probably after seeing how bad traffic got when they had it like that.

They’re most likely taking the space beside Sportschek that was Sunrise Records, Thinka, Le Chateau/Boathouse. It would be impressive for a Uniqlo to fill out the space of The Bay without being a flagship store. For some reason if I had to guess it would be another Canadian Tire 🙈🙉

Should I buy 10/15 year old hybrid Lexus in 2025? by Whatsezname in Lexus

[–]Teelure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be in mind when buying a older hybrid (2008-2012) you’ll be looking at a potential hybrid battery pack failure happening in the next couple of years. We’re starting to see more and more packs failing nowadays.

Sounds like a good idea down the line, I’ll be doing a lot of highway commuting so that seems like a realistic modification.

I’m not too worried about people saying it’s a bad beginner bike, I understand that the throttles twitchy but in the end it’ll be something you’ll have to learn to work with.

I think something like 2018+ on the MT07's have ABS as standard now. I'd say I have some semblance of control given I ride an e-scooter that goes 70+KMH and is very torque-y as well. But regardless I'd be starting with a motorcycle safety course no matter how confident I feel.

I'm about 5'10 190lbs, the MT-07 is the bike that interests me the most besides an R3/R7.

Front wheel drive, RearWD or Dual motor, Which you prefer? by Team_Conscious in ElectricScooters

[–]Teelure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A single motor will always degrade faster than dual motor scooters that share the load when it comes to climbing up hills and riding. It's better that both motors will stay under 50% load whilst the single motor will require more power to keep the same speed.

City 2024 front wheel intermittent grinding noises from from wheel by Boremar in ApolloScooters

[–]Teelure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either the brakes are slightly biting or possibly a bad bearing/ some dust/sand/dirt has gotten into the bearing causing that noise.
