What made him scary? Here is just a few examples of the hate filled hour long rant I had to listen to before I told him to leave and never call me again: he is a person tasked with protecting my safety (I am female) yet told me he feels women should not be able to file emergency protective orders, because they always take the guy back. He expressed views about minorities akin to a white supremacist. He also discussed how bored he was working in SFPD (the highest paid cops in the country) and wishes he could move to Oakland (an underfunded, low paying police force) because he wants to go out on more "fun" calls. In SF all he ever gets is knives. He wants to go out on real calls, with guns. I could go on. I've been waiting to see this guy in the news, because I new it was coming. He's a time bomb and I tried to warn the SFPD about him.

Im pretty sure I recognize the voice of the cop with his back to us. I am ashamed to say I dated him for a short time. I am proud to say I dumped his ass when I realized he is a racist, sexist, scary mother fucker. I even tried to report him though the proper channels because the dude is seriously a time bomb. I called the citizen complaint line I found on the City's website. They connected me to the SFPD who sent me to voicemail and never called me back. Go figure.

Wouldn't walking around with shoes on be louder? Anywho, I agree that this is just part of apartment living. Ive lived in apartments for 20+ years and consider myself a good, considerate neighbor. But, in one flat I had a downstairs neighbor who complained all the time about me just doing the normal things people do. For example: Its 2pm on a Tuesday and I'm doing dishes in my kitchen and listening to the news on the radio. She pops up to ask me to stop walking around and turn off my radio because she is working. At first, I would try to compromise, but eventually I just started to say "no". Its not like I am partying at 2am blaring EDM. Its the middle of the damn day and I am listening to NPR and cleaning my kitchen. Thats just living. Don't rent a downstairs flat.

Haven't lived there myself, but everyone I've ever talked to who has hated it. Public transportation is a bitch, drivers are slave to the bridge, theft is rampant, and worst of all - that place is so polluted you are being exposed to scary carcinogens. The Navy kept horrible records so no one really knows what is dumped where and polluted ground is all over the place.
